Chai use to good, but now it’s not even cooked properly. Samosa chat is total waste of money as it doesn’t resemble samosa chat in any way or form. Just boiled chickpeas topped with a burnt frozen samosa. Caters to western taste buds since they can’t tell the difference.

Always delicious! Everything is so fresh and flavorful. They have really healthy options that don’t skimp on richness or complexity. A good place to bring gluten free/vegan friends.

Great atmosphere and design of the interior. Tasty food and friendly staff. All this combined with reasonable prices makes it a great spot.

The food blew me and my husband away. Loved the naanwich and masala fries. We will be coming back!
Also the interior is so cute and makes you want to stay.
The rolled ice cream is a fun twist.

Hands down the best Pakistani cuisine I have ever had. Whenever I'm in the area, Alif Cafe is a must!! The appetizers are all incredible, and so are the drinks (Masala Chai is magic!). Such a wonderful/welcoming atmosphere and every single item on the menu is delicious.

Google said the cafe closes at 9.00 pm and we arrived at 7.00 pm only to hear them rudely say we closed the kitchen and didn't even want to talk further! We asked if we could get some plain rice for baby and they simply said No :(
We should have called ahead but whats the point on listing misleading operating hours?

I was offered a full refund and the staff was courteous. However, the nans in the nanwich were stale. There was no yogurt or any kind of sauce with the charts and they took over an hour to prepare our food. I was actually looking forward to this place and drive 20 mins from our hotel to take out for a big family but was extremely disappointed. The only good thing was the manager issued a refund.

Great decor and atmosphere for our solitary dining experience. Unfortunately, the dinner food was a disappointment. We had the chicken Marsala and Butter chicken bowls, which were both underseasoned and served over cold rice. The naan was served cold, which just makes it a hard, tasteless bread. The plus side of the meal was the chicken was very tender and the salad was excellent. My chai was bland and lacking of spices. The rolled strawberry ice cream was a hit. We were the only customers there and yet there were a few tables that had not been bussed and the floors needed a good brushing. We had to ask for cutlery and a napkin after we were served our dinner. I had such high hopes for our dining experience but was sadly disappointed.

I was visiting the area and thought I’d try out the chicken tikka for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely amazing. So tender and juicy. It seriously made me consider how I’ve been cooking chicken my day whole life. My compliments to the chef and I wish them nothing but success.

This is not Pakistani food. I'm Pakistani visiting from Albany so I know. Go to Saratoga or Albany for real authentic Indian/Pakistani food. The chicken tikka bowl was NOT even chicken tikka it was just unseasoned chicken with some BBQ sauce - no flavor. It's like ordering fried chicken but getting chicken salad. The samosa chaats have no flavor either and just random ingredients tossed together.
For locals - know this isn't that great and you're not getting real authentic Pakistani/Indian food because this isn't even remotely it. There are no spices, no flavor, nothing. They just threw some rice, veggies, and onions together and there's no real flavor. Maybe the owner believes that white people might like this more because they have no idea what Indian/Pakistani food is like - but it's not even Pakistani/Indian. Whoever is cooking this stuff has zero idea how to cook basic Pakistani food and I mean no disrespect when I say this because I'd like this restaurant to succeed since Glens Falls could have more good ethnic restaurants.
I will say the only good thing on the menu is the rolled ice cream. Decor is nice. But otherwise this is not worth it and overpriced.
To the owner: You need to work on making this food less bland and actual authentic Pakistani food. Also the Kashmiri chai? Horrible like the other reviews said. Whatever you're doing isn't good and it isn't Pakistani so I'd recommend doing it right. Maybe you're trying to tailor it for white people in the area and maybe that works for your business but this isn't Pakistani and it's not great either. The other reviews say the same thing for several months but evidently nothing's changed. I'm not even exaggerating and I don't like to leave a 1 star review but this was pretty sloppy and awful and I know it's not a one-time thing. I hope you are able to make significant changes and I'm not saying this to be mean but this food is really amateur.
