You will be surrounded by a diverse variety of tropical plants and fountains giving way to the complete serenity of a greenhouse paradise! The food is absolutely incredible, local, and even garnished with edible flowers grown right there. Origins will change the way you look at food!

Origins Cafe is a hidden treasure in Cooperstown NY a short drive from all the baseball action on the main street in town. Family run. Not for fast food; it's intentionally slow food, for a meal or afternoon treat to savor at a relaxed pace in a garden setting, because it's a gorgeous garden center too, and a gift shop with artisan items from all over the world. It has a small, everchanging menu of very well executed dishes, based in part on what is good in the markets and in part on the chefs' frequent international travels looking for gift items, ingredients, and recipes, so it's fun to go back to explore what's new. Talk to the family owners, they're all interesting, warm people, and can tell you the story behind what they serve, or sell. For them, it seems to me that Origins isn't just a business, it's their service to the world.
