Red Star Cafe & Bakery

Went here twice on a weekend get away. The coffee and cruffins were perfect. Sat around and enjoyed the atmosphere for at least an hour. Would highly recommend anything and everything they have to offer.

A must stop. The owners are extremely nice, the atmosphere is edgy like the city but with a real hometown feel. They have a vegan gluten free crumble cookie that is one of the best pastries I’ve had, so we bought every single one. Great coffee with coconut and oat milk options.

Stopped in for food and coffee on our way back to Long Island from a weekend upstate and were thrilled with the decision. The grits cup was delicious and filling while also managing to not be too heavy - also great presentation.

The raspberry cruffin was very delicious and I want to back and try the other cruffin flavors. Our lattes were also very tasty!

Would highly recommend and we will definitely be stopping here again if passing through the area.

The coffee (and espresso) here is great, especially for Cairo! I had a maple latte and it was perfect.

They have a billboard on Rte 23 that only says "espresso" in big letters, which makes me laugh because of those old stereotypes about small towns being so far removed from the big city that they don't drink or even have espresso. Like "come to Red Star! We're civilized!" I bet all the city skiers appreciate the clarity!

I also had a croissant and it was good! Better pastries exist but you can't find anyplace like Red Star elsewhere in Cairo so that alone makes it a gem.

Add the friendly smiles and great hangout atmosphere and that makes Red Star a "can't miss."

Truly the best americano I've had. I've been drinking coffee at as many places as I can these last few years, trying to find the best, and currently Red Star is without a doubt number one. The pastries are also great as well as the cracked pepper turkey sandwich. I can't wait to return.

We love Red Star! We always stop here on every visit to the area. Great coffee, great pastries and grits cups, and the madelines are the perfect touch. Don’t miss it!

Always enjoy this Café. Coffee is always delicious and affordable. Recently my partner tried some of their pastries he said they were very tasty. I had to convince him to not try each one. Next visit I'll have to try their gluten free treats. So glad this place came to Cairo.
