Stopped in today with our family after touring the Carlsbad Cavern. This was the only restaurant option available. We arrived and there was one other table with two guests. Place was decorated cute, but there was a bad smell like the bathroom sewage was backed up. Our waitress took our orders quickly, the food arrived but we never seen her after that. My husband's top bun was completely burned on the bottom. We thought at first maybe it was the sauce, but when he checked the bottom one it was lightly toasted. We waited for our waitress to come see how we liked everything but didn't see her. We were short a set of silverware, water and napkins. I gave the silverware to my children and encouraged them to eat. I saw a few other people working there but no one checked on us. It was super odd as it was so slow. Another family came in. My family was about finished eating and I finally saw our waitress again. I asked her for the items she brought them over. I started eating and suddenly a different lady runs out saying get out but pay first our carbon monoxide alarm is going off. My husband and I just shook our head. Your life is in danger and we have ignored you the whole time, you are now eating but make sure you pay us and leave. Would not recommend.

Very good! We stopped here for a late lunch after visiting Carlsbad Caverns. This definitely hit the spot and was much appreciated. Food and service were great!

Fun little cafe right outside Carlsbad Caverns NP. In April they were only open for breakfast and lunch. We had the crunchy tacos and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Both were tasty and filling.

My wife and I ate breomelet here, the 4 days we were in the area. The Meat Omlet is a carnivore's delight, especially with my favorite Chalula hot sauce. The coffee is perfect strength to kick start the body in the high altitude. We also had awesome burgers for lunch. Check out all the western art in the cafe. Best of all was the cashier and wait staff, Michele, Ronda & Sophia. They are also great resources about area attractions. If the Cactus was open for dinner we would have eaten all our meals there.

We brought a bus load of 45 students. They had us in and out in a little over an hour. The service and food were outstanding!!

Stopped on our road trip to see Carlsbad Caverns, and stopped for lunch at the Cactus Cafe. The food was fantastic, and we will stop by again. Service is friendly, and as prompt as possible, dealing with the same staffing issues as the rest of the country; they are doing their best, and it shows. Thanks for the great food folks!

Went in for lunch. Excellent food. Family of six. Had tacos (3) and burrito plates, Hawaiian and buffalo truffle burgers, blackened chicken Caesar salad and everything was well seasoned and delicious. We almost made the mistake of eating at the park diner but decided to drive back to White’s City (named after the discoverer of todays Carlsbad Caverns National Park) and eat at it’s roadside restaurant. It did not disappoint. The servings were very generous and the service on point. Atmosphere was family friendly. The good food made our day trip all the better.

I was seated fast, the servers were friendly and sweet. They recommended the green Chile plate and I liked it. Close to Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad Caverns NP also!

Great service, clean, and the food is okay. Your options for lunch near Carlsbad are packed lunch, cold wraps and sandwiches in the cavern, or this. Standard ballpark quality food.
They do have a baby changing station in the men’s restroom.

We visited Caverns and had a stop at Cactus Cafe. Food was great; we ordered French fries with green chilli and cheese and it was out of the world. We also had veg burger and salad, both were equally good.
