We dropped in to the Pig in Fig for breakfast. What a completely delightful place. Place your order at front seat and yourself either inside or outside. The place is wonderfully decorated, warm and friendly. Definitely a hang out for the locals. I had the hippie burrito- which is a veggie burrito Christmas-style (for the uninitiated, that means with both red and green chili sauce). It was to die for… this thing had goat cheese which was the perfect partner to the red and green chili. Can’t wait to go back for lunch and / or dinner. Thank you for a great experience! #landofenchantment #whiterock. #pigandthefig

This is one of the best lunch/rest stop cafes I've visited. The rotating menu has a bit of a farm to table feel, with curated food at prices your wallet will love. I enjoyed the relaxed decor of the cafe. I highly recommend their strawberry lemonade, it has a great balance between tart and sweet.

Ordered a burger well done! Came medium rare and the fries were cold! Don’t plan to visit there again!

Delicious food and wonderful prices!! It's an order at the counter and seat yourself establishment, so if you need another beer or dessert, just return to the counter and they will help you out! The patio seating is wonderful and the portions are huge!!

You can tell by the tastes and textures of their food and sweets that they take pride in sourcing quality ingredients.
We moved from the area and haven't been back for a little over a year. Laura has done a great job updating her place.
I'm including pictures of their inviting outdoor patio area!

What an amazing little spot! The cafe is cute and cozy, and the food is even better. We had the Piggy Cheese (grilled cheese with bacon) and the Cuban sandwich and both were amazing. To that, the soup and house-made cakes were delicious as well. Although we’re only tourists in the area, we will certainly be back next time we’re in White Rock!

I have tried to like this place but the items are too basic. Ordered fried chicken on salad. Older lettuce with three slices of beefcake tomato and sprinkling of bagged shredded cheese, along with chicken. I gave this two stars because I didn’t get food poisoning. If you have even an ounce of kitchen functionality you can top this place and save some money. Otherwise head to Santa Fe.

We both ordered breakfast burritos to go as we were road-tripping and just passing through - I don’t think it even took them 10 minutes to prepare. They gave us utensils and cups and ice for our pop. The food was amazing and the staff was very pleasant. The restaurant itself was decorated very tastefully!

May 2021 Back again! Menu has changed but still absolutely delicious as when I had the box breakfast in the past. I had a delicious burger and fries. My husband had a yummy ZLT and chips. Atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful.
First review a while ago:
$5 breakfast option was worth the short drive from Los Alamos for. Coming back again with hubs to try some of their vegan options.

Poor experience from start to finish unfortunately. The location was recommended by a local, and it has me thinking how much they actually leave the location as it was not anywhere near some of the top restaurants in Albuquerque or Santa Fe as another poster has stated. First we were “undercharged” by the cashier - in quotes as the whole thing was wildly overpriced for the quality and portions. He comes back and asks for the difference, okay fine but that was the least of our issues. Ordered soup to be served before our entrées and it came out the exact same time and it was not warm. They did take it back and reheat it, so credit to them? All the food seemed as if it was fresh out of the microwave especially the soups. I would stay clear of the tomato basil as it had shards of something fibrous that I’ve never experienced in such a dish and it was the only thing we shared and all of us came down ill that evening. The rest of the food was just okay. Nothing to write home about and certainly wouldn’t visit again. I guess if it’s your only option it’s fine but I would of rather saved the $ and went to a fast food joint where at least you know what you are getting. Steak sandwich was okay, the Cuban was mediocre at best and their specialty bacon pasta dish was fine but at a similar quality to a devour frozen meal you get for $6 in your frozen section.
