This is a cash, check or venmo only business at the heart of downtown Taos. They serve different kinds of mocha and other hot drinks. We ordered the Mocha Negra and Mocha with orange zest. We liked both very much. They're not too sweet and goes well with their coffee cakes. Comes in three sizes and customizable for vegan customers.

Nice local place right beside Taos plaza. The coffee they offer is okay I guess. You can get different flavors added as well. The cool thing is you can get a CBD gem or two added to the coffee if you like. They do not accept credit or debit cards, so bring cash when you go into the store.

Let your morning be amazing with cup of coffee from World Cup coffee shop. Tried to make picture of fantastic cardamom coffee cake but couldn’t as ate it immediately 😋😀🙋‍♀️🐶😊

I put three stars because the coffee was fine, I went to the location because of the "good vibes" but all I experienced was "condescension pretentiousness vibes", not going back, I'd rather go to Starbucks for the same level of coffee and be able to use my debit card. The Starbucks baristas don't usually look down on you for asking simple questions which is nice too. The only good reviews of this shop are by locals.

How do they do it? How do they get it right every time? I'm in awe of the beverage brujas at World Cup Cafe, fiercely focused and simultaneously feisty and friendly. They rule with their badass playlists (Ethiopian, Greek, and African music on the morning I visited) and pithy postcards. And unlike many other high-ranking coffee specialty bars, their non-caffeinated offerings are just as inspired as their incomparable coffee drinks. I had a ginger turmeric oat milk latte that is still haunting me like a handsome maharaja. What could be more pleasant than sitting on their outdoor bench, chatting amiably with strangers, and watching the parade of eclectics go by? Or sitting inside at the bar and writing postcards to all of your far flung friends? For me, no trip to Taos would be complete without stopping at World Cup.

Representing all that’s great about Taos!
Tiny, hospitable and with a rich history of generosity of spirit. Also, beautiful coffee!

Came by last night and once more today. Mocha Borgia is so good

Charming little coffee shop just off the plaza with a wide and unusual selection of coffee drinks. There are several different types of mochas, and several additives (even CBD).
The dark chocolate mocha was rich and delicious.

Coffee is good, would recommend the Americano or the mocha mexicana. The staff weren't friendly but from the vibe of the place(political stand/awareness + support of local businesses) they seem like good people, customer service just isn't their priority. Oh and no card, only cash. I wasn't carrying cash but went to the nearby ATM at the plaza to get some 'cause it was worth it.
