A very busy and popular local diner. The service was friendly and helpful. A nice waitress helped seat my wife and I from a smaller table to a bigger table. I had for dinner Jerry’s Special - hamburger steak with green chile, melted Monterrey Jack cheese, refried beans and Mexican rice. The green chile sauce was very flavorful. The hot chocolate was tasty with fresh whipped cream. My wife had the stuffed beef sopapilla which she enjoyed. I recommend this place.
Delicious. Large portions (super large). Couldn’t leave anything on the plate, had to eat it ALL. Friendly, attentive staff. Clean. Authentic, frequented by locals.
I ordered a steak burrito for takeout for lunch during a road trip through NM. Figured a burrito would be easy to eat while driving, or at least sitting in the car.
This is what I got (see pics). It was more of a half-assembled steak quesadilla with all the ingredients outside the tortilla, which all was buried under crinkle fries. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really a burrito. I was very confused while eating it.
Service was fast, friendly, and the place was packed when I walked in. Good signs and atmosphere, full of mostly locals.
Just finished breakfast in Gallup NM. Found this place that’s rated the best breakfast place in town. A cozy diner. Food is good if you like Mexican style with green Chile and sopaipillos. Great coffee, great service. Wish they would add one more traditional American dish to the menu for those that want less spicy and more healthy options
This place is a vintage as you can get these days! The Salsa alone gets 5 stars! I am a salsa and tostadas aficionado and this salsa was one of the best I've ever had. Fresh, perfectly balanced and hot! 5 stars for the food! 5 stars for the customer service! 5 stars for the menu selections! I can't wait to go back to Gallup to eat here again.
Parking was a challenge unless you park around the corner by the museum, plenty of Parking a nice 5 minute walk. Had to get on a waiting list and stand outside 15 minutes, food was delicious worth the wait but the service wasn't so great. The table behind us including us made requests numerous times in order to get refills and honey.
Jerry's Cafe has been in operation for 75 years and is a family owned restaurant. We were on the road and decided to stop in for dinner. One stuffed sopapilla (pequeno) and chile relleno plate all smothered green. So delicious! I force fed myself after being full because I couldn't stop! Even the pequeno was a large portion. I saw bowls of green chili and chili cheese fries come out of the kitchen regularly. The complimentary salsa was home made with fresh ingredients and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. It was a great experience and we bought a shirt because Jerry's is pretty awesome 👍

One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Outstanding green chili. Glad I stopped in. It won’t be the last time.
