I am very sad. I have been living 20 minutes from this shop for a year and a half and I just discovered this treasure. I am sad because I am moving back to the East Coast and had the opportunity to enjoy this place as a regular, but I’ll have to live with having gone just once. I had a green chili quiche - not long after opening, so it was still nice and warm. The filling was great, but the crust was outstanding. I had a croissant - buttery, flaky, light, and very tasty. I also had a sticky roll - the sugary sauce was delicious, the roll had a perfect chew. And one more - I am not sure what it was called, but it was in the shape of a piece of thick bread with blueberries all over and I suppose a custard type texture. The corners were chewy and scrumptious and the middle was velvety and rich. Also, the coffee was great - I just had a black drip, but they have a serious espresso machine as well.
This will remain a lovely memory of what a bakery and coffee shop should be. The Platonic Ideal can be found in Chama, NM.

Always the best pastries! Amazing tarts, decadent croissants, perfect bread pudding, delicious coffee. You can't go wrong with anything you order here!

What a gem! The owner was absolutely lovely, and made the best chai I’ve ever had at an independent coffee shop. The pâtisseries were beautiful, and would rival any French bakery. Access is very easy, and the shop is immaculate

Sweet little shop we stopped in when passing through. They cannot do any drinks right now (5/26) due to an ongoing water issue but the fig and goat cheese pastry was worth stopping for. It was outstanding!

The bakery items and coffee were INCREDIBLE! Completely made our day as we stopped at this little gem! Staff were wonderfully kind and helpful with deciding what to try! Definitely going to be our highlight of New Mexico!

I have been a frequent visitor of Wilder Bakeshop and am always enchanted by the sweets and treats on offer. Jazzmyn's cookies are so fantastic that I asked her to cater a poetry reading at the theater club in the neighboring village of Tierra Amarilla. Guests were thoroughly impressed, and I will surely make her pastries a mainstay of our future events.

The Wilder can do no wrong! Homemade baked goods freshly made every morning paired with delcious coffee made me visit both mornings I was in Chama. I tried four kinds of pastries, enjoying one there and taking another to go, and everything was tasty. I recommend the caramel sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, and the quad-shot Americano. Wilder is a delight!

Excellent coffee ( and we are picky Australians!) and delicious pastries - so glad we stopped!

Best bakery in Chama. The Croissants are great. Once I had a Ham and Swiss Croissant and it was great. Same with the pecan roll and cinnamon twist. I will continue to eat here. Only open Thursday to Sunday. Get there early for a good selection.
