The food was great and very reasonably priced. Everything is homemade.

I hadn't been here in more than 10 years. My steak fingers were great! But, we didn't get the bacon on our Texan burger we added, and when they fixed it to bring it back, they laid whole strips on top of an already split in half burger (they cut the burger not us). Literally, directly across the cut. So, we had to tear the bacon with our hands. Def didn't affect the taste of the food, but it was def an unnecessary inconvenience. Will be back though!

Great place to eat if you're in the area. Food is good and the service is amazing. Also can't beat the prices! Definitely worth checking this place out

We ate there twice this weekend and this week the food was very good service was excellent you have a very very excellent waitress that really takes care of your business and very courteous and beautiful woman to work with

Food is Always fantastic at Alto Cafe!! Anything on the menu is delicious. Service is friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend!!

My wife loved the huevos rancheros breakfast plate with the green. The cherry cobbler and blackberry cobbler were both amazing! They said everything is made from scratch and I totally believe it! To top it off there was no wait (when 5 other places had over an hour wait) and prices very reasonable for a quality dinner this good! Our family is coming back here next time we visit!.

So we're very blessed to call NM our 2nd home and Alto Cafe is a must stop. Food is ALWAYS good here.. Full menu and the pork ribs are the best bar none .. sorry home state of Texas. Waitstaff sweet and helpful. Price point is below moderate. With current Covid-19 restrictions outdoor dining is limited. However the limited dining is so toasty we had to shed several layers of outdoor clothing .... Very comfortable. If you can't get outside dining then go for takeout you won't regret.

Throughout our visit to NM we ended up eating from here a couple times.
First I picked up a dozen breakfast burrito's and lets just say they were "OK". Pretty dry but maybe due to take out order vs eating there. Very expensive though.

Next I ordered out 6 pancake plates with eggs and bacon and it was much better.

My wife & I agree this place is great for breakfast and quick bites.

I have had the absolute pleasure of enjoying the Alto Cafe since its opened. The wide variety of food, their buffets, their Friday and Saturday night specials, etc. The longevity of their team speaks for itself. Combine that with their menu and good old down home cooking is truly special.
