Plateau Espresso

Unhappy with the service. I ordered black coffee, no room, and they just decided on their own it's ok to add a little cream ugh. Ruined the coffee. If i say let me add the cream myself, that's what I mean.
Wasted trip. Sweetened creamer too, yuck.

I wanted to like this place so much. We came at 6PM and a lot of the lights were out. (Neon open sign turned off, hallway with the bathroom lights were off as well) But google said they were open until 9 so we tried anyway. We were greeted by a sweet girl who didnt seem too pleased we were there. She did warm up to us after a bit though.

The interior is decorated really neat. I wanted a pour over coffee but neither of the girls working knew how to make it. So I ordered a carmel latte instead. It was pretty good. I also ordered a brownie. It tasted like one I would get at a normal grocery store bakery. Dont get me wrong, it was tasty, just not what I expected.

I think during peak hours this place would be a much better experience and more of what I am looking for. I was just let down with this experience.

Sidenote: I asked how long the place had been opened. (Thinking that's why the workers didn't know how to make a coffee that was on menu) and they had no idea. None. Those working should know things like this, and be proud of the story of the business.

Cute, spacious coffee shop with a neat location. Ample seating and patio space as well as an extensive drink menu. They also serve standard cafe baked goods and food. Good service.

Cute place!! I’m from Arizona and I came to El Paso to visit my family and we decided to pay Alamogordo a visit. We stopped by this cafe and the service was very friendly and the service quick! The inside is spacious and it’s awesome that they have such a big patio! The scenery is beautiful too.

This place is top notch!!! When we came back to Alamogordo on our vacation this year one of our go to places had to be the Plateau Espresso. The view from there is fantastic and the service is too. Great place to congregate and just unwind and relax.

Great coffee, my kids love the gelato and treats. Perfect location if you want a nice place to study or meet up with friends. The lunch items are great as well.

The food was much better than I had anticipated. Portions are large along with reasonable prices and the workers are friendly. The chai tea here is the best I've had anywhere, WAAAAYY better than Starbucks. We will definitely become frequent customer's.

I always try to support local places and as far as coffee or other beverages and a great view, this is the place to go. However if your going for food, you might want to hold off on this place until dessert. The food menu is very limited, which is normal for a coffee house however you are not allowed to customize any of the sandwiches to your preferences or dietary needs. We asked to remove an item from one of the sandwiches, not substitute... just take off. We were told that changing items or even the style of bread was not possible because the food is pre made earlier in the day and heated as needed. The prices are decent, however the quality is sub par. The customer service is “ok” however the 2 times I’ve visited this establishment since I’ve been in town I felt I was inconveniencing the employees.

Best place to get coffee for miles! Coming from a state that has a coffee shop on every corner we were thrilled to find this caffeinated gem. Plus the gelatto, cookies and other baked goods have all been fabulous. We would drive through everyday if our budget and waistlines would allow!
