EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: there is a saying that has been going around for many, many years-it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Correcting an employee is part of training for any good business. The harshness of the tone and the hurt on her face was not. Beating correctness into people verbally doesn't give them a "sense of pride and accomplishment" for a job well done, it gives them relief. Abusing young women is a bad look.
Having worked in a small coffee shop before, I get how stressful it can be. I've also worked many weeks in that and other jobs where I've put in "countless hours". If something came out nasty because I was stressed and tired, I apologized, because that is not how you treat fellow people.
Calling me ignorant to the struggles of a small business when you know nothing about me or what I've been through further solidifies my opinion to not return- you treat your employees poorly, and the second someone leaves a bad review, you turn on them as well.
The girls that work for you have been discussing looking for work in other places, by the way. Been there enough to overhear that, and I don't blame them one bit.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Been here a few times now, coffee is good, but not worth the price imo.
Went in a bit ago, new girl behind the counter, obviously learning, that's fine, we've all been there, but she was apparently making my drink wrong, the owner saw that and turned around and I did NOT like the tone of voice he took with her or the older woman behind the counter. "YOU NEED TO WATCH HER."
You do not keep my business, nor that of anyone I know, by verbally abusing your employees. Coworkers have been asking me how this place is, and I'll be directing them literally anywhere else instead. I'd rather drive to Wawa for coffee than support a business owner who treats his employees like that.

I want to start off by saying their coffee is very very good and it’s such a cute spot with a very unique menu. The owner is super friendly and has always been so nice and welcoming. However, I always get the same thing and always seem to get charged a different price. All I usually get is espresso and got charged $6.50 today for a few shots and nothing else in it. I also tried to go on a random weekday once and they were closed, which was very disappointing because I was really looking forward to their coffee. The coffee itself is great but as a whole they are very inconsistent.

Really good coffee. The Vietnamese latte is great

Bubbys Beanery easily has the best coffee and the most character out of all other businesses in Downtown Toms River! Their coffee and tea is organic and is basically an explosion of flavor in your mouth! I literally go in there everyday to order some tea and just to enjoy the place. I am super happy they are in business and I can literally spend hours upon hours talking to the extremely friendly staff, flipping through the vinyl records they sell, and seamlessly endless amount of music memorabilia they sell. If y’all love coffee, music, or just want to check out an amazing up-and-coming local store then this place is an absolute MUST!!!

Small but very nostalgic. They have a large selection of super high quality teas and they are amazing iced. They didn't have as many options to eat as I thought they would but what they had was good and super high quality. No where to really sit because it's so small. It's a takeout place in my opinion but they are very into helping musicians in the area with exposure and they sell vintage music records and local artisans work which is cool . I was expecting to be able to get a sandwich or something light to go with my drink but I guess I got there after lunch time and they didn't have much food but they did have baked items available. I've also bought the caraffes of coffee for a large group of people and everyone loved it.

Who doesn't love coffee shops? Bubby's is so fun to visit. The music they play makes the atmosphere unbelieveable. When I want to just relax, this is my go-to.

The owner is so nice! He treats us like family and remembers our names and makes all our drinks fresh and quickly.

Excellent, coffee and service! Wish they had breakfast sandwiches that weren't premade.

Best coffee in Toms River! All of their coffees are brewed fresh to order with their own roasted beans. They're all so flavorful! They have a really cool atmosphere too, full of band merch, vinyl, and more! The owner is a great guy and the whole staff is always friendly. The music and friendly faces definitely give Downtown TR a much needed uplift in good vibes.

Possibly the best coffee shop I've visited outside of Chicago. Family owned and operated, killer specialty pour-over coffee drinks, some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, and the ambiance has such character.
