Gregorys Coffee

Sorry for that but it was a very bad experience, people are working hard but coffee was cold and taste was horrible..I had cortado- served warm as tepid water- and the gingerbread latte that do not look like their ad and taste horrible artificial after taste, carrot cake and croissant were bland...lost hard earning 20$...stay away.

I've been there twice and both times were a great experience. More specifically my second visit. The woman greeted us with one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen. She asked us (my boyfriend and me) if we needed any help and she asked if we need clarification. My boyfriend and I aren't exactly what you'd call "coffee people", and so we asked her some questions to see which would best suit us. She let us try the cold brew coffe to see whether or not we'd like it. We ended up getting a sugar free vanilla iced latte with almond milk. I called it pretty and the woman making it got so happy and was super hyped. It was a genuine appreciation and I love environments like that. It tasted good, but once my boyfriend finished doing his thing, it was perfect (hella Splenda packets and a dash of cinnamon). As we were paying for it, I overheard the first woman tell a customer that the pastries were half off. BIG mistake. I flipped. I was like "BABE WE GOTTA GET THE BROWNIES HOW MUCH DO THEY COST THEY LOOK GOOD GIRL LET ME KNOW." The woman started laughing and asked if I ever had one of the brownies. I admitted that I did not. She reached in and I thought she was gonna' break off a piece to give to me, but nope! She truthfully gave me a brownie and said, "Well, today, this is a sample." GUYS. SHE GAVE ME A BROWNIE. FOR FREE. I CRIED LIKE I WAS THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD. I work at Chick Fil A (in Newport) and I told her (after the fact) that my coworkers often give Gregory's workers free items and say great things about them and now I definitely understand why. I give the woman a tip and asked where I could leave a review, so here I am. Gregory's is actually underrated. It has a calm atmosphere and super enthusiastic workers. I can actually type an essay on this. My boyfriend and I will DEFINITELY be going back. If you're a Starbucks fan, Gregory's will change your mind in a heartbeat. Idk, I think I am addicted to this place. I work around he corner and go there every day. If not to buy anything just to seat and read. I quit coffee but I still drink decaf. They have an amazing Turmeric latte. Plus the workers are sooo nice.

Went in at 3:45. Got to the front of the line at 3:55. That's when they told me they are closing in 5 minutes and have no coffee left and would not make me any. No idea what they thought I was in line for or why they didn't tell me sooner.

Awesome place.. They had a Turmeric Ginger drink which was excellent. Usually I take coffee, but wanted to try different. Definite place for coffee lovers

When I asked the cashier, if there was a cranberry coconut scone, she said yes but I opened my bag to see a cranberry walnut scone of which contains dairy. I'm highly lactose intolerant. The lack of care to make a sale is inconsiderate.

Very nice coffee and tea choices. The sandwiches and sweet bread or cake selections are perfect for a morning snack while waiting for your train or ferry.

This location has the best staff ever! It can be chilly in the winter because of its all window walls but the warmth of the baristas outweighs it!! I would come as much as I can.
