Fast service. This cafe won my heart for its freshly brewed coffee and delicious pastries. We tried blueberry muffin, banana nut bread and few other things. Every thing tasted fresh, homemade, not too sweet just perfect.
My sister and I decided to take a holiday trip to beautiful Cape May, NJ before Christmas. We decided to stay at the lovelyCongress Hall. We have been down to the shore on many occasions but never stayed at this particular hotel. I must say everything was wonderful from start to finish. When we arrived my car was taken to valet within minutes of our arrival. Check in was very easy and quick with no waiting. (Most check ins you will find you will have a small wait time, and they were busy). Our luggage was taken to our room as soon as we got to our room. Our room was oh so immaculate, I was very impressed. The two queen beds we requested were so very comfy. Neither one of us had any problems sleeping. We ventured around the property to take pictures of all the beautiful holiday decorations they painstakingly put up. Next we had drinks and dinner in The Brown Room. A gorgeous room with a large wood burning fireplace to cozy up to. Our bartend was super attentive to us. They do have a wonderful staff there. Starting with valet, check in manager, bartenders, servers etc. The food and drinks were great. I would definitely recommend that you stay a night or two and pamper yourself. Oh, they also have a wonderful spa and a gym as well. I hope who ever reads my review finds this helpful!
I LOVE this place. Congress Hall in general is such an amazing and welcoming place. So long as you aren't disruptive and know common curtsey - like being at any place or hotel. The point is that they welcome you to get some coffee like at this amazing Tommy's Folly! This coffee shop has become part of a Cape May trip tradition! In fact whilst typing this review I am going to be going right over to get a good ol coffee! 🖤
Two notes: The hostess at the blue pig needs personality training. Second note a grilled cheese sandwich advertising bacon and artichoke should probably have more meat to it than one thin piece of bacon cut in half and one grilled artichoke head with the leaves peeled off and spread across the American cheese. Picture attached. The fruit offered included a brown banana or an equally unappetizing looking orange. Chips are plain potato chips with no choices. This hotel reminds me of the perfect example of forgetting you need to Continue to serve your customers. This type of sandwich is unacceptable.
