A must-stop for the cross-country traveler. Even has gluten free pancakes. We thoroughly our meal and I did not get sick! Bought some apricot jam to give as a hosting gift on our way out; they said it was fresh that morning.

Stopped in while traveling to get lunch. Mostly sandwiches, burgers and breakfast on the menu, but they had several vegetarian options for me. Friendly and clean. I loved the back seating area with all the plants, and the front area has a cool old diner feel and bar seating. The food was pretty good and they make their jam in house. I would definitely stop in again if I happened to be in the area.

The Gridlle is a charming cafe with a warm ambiance. Huge breakfast and lunch menu! All of our sandwiches were excellent and the service was very friendly and fast! Best place to go in Winnemucca!
Update one year later- the French fries were unedible, greasy and floppy. My husband has never found fault with a French fry before this. No offer for providing one of other sides was made either. Very disappointed.

This is actually one of my favorite places to eat. They have two or three in the Boise area which is where I frequent. Driving through town, we noticed this location. We had no idea it was the original. Had a very friendly conversation with the original owner's grandson, and asked about the history and whatnot. Great little history we learned about.
At any rate, if you want great breakfast food, this is definitely your joint. They even have pretty good lunches as I've eaten them in the Boise area a few times. It'll be our go-to when driving through Winnemucca. They have all the traditional foods, some of their own specials, and just good nice service.

The food was awesome. It was definitely busy, but after tasting the food I can understand why. The Almond French Toast was probably one of the best I have tasted compared to big chain places. The Chicken Fried Steak was delicious. The portion was a bit smaller than I was used to and definitely higher priced but I guarantee it was worth it. Packed with flavor and the homemade gravy top was good.
The service was fast. We didn't wait long for our food and it was served hot. Was our first time here but not the last. I definitely recommend coming here. Support local business and have an amazing meal.

The flagship location! This place had it all together. The staff flowed harmoniously in a way not often seen in customer service. Everyone loved being there and the food was amazing. Best corned beef and hash you've ever had. If in Winnemucca, this is a must stop.

Great food choices, slow service. Orange juice and coffee came in fast, tables around us were cleaned and were getting ready very fast, but we were waiting to place the order quite a while even the room was half empty and we were not there at their busiest time. The food was amazing and totally worthy the wait. There is an ad that they are looking for a cook, not sure if that is an issue or someone called sick on Sunday morning. The order arrived very fast after we placed it.

What a gem of a place in the middle of a small town. Traditional breakfasts to more modern health conscious options for a reasonable price. Self seating and super attentive staff. Loved their hash browns and house made strawberry jam!

Reminds of something out of a movie. Superb food with great service.

Decided to stop and have a bite to eat on our way home from vacation, the name sounded inviting. Upon walking in was a quaint, busy restaurant with heavenly smells and lots of activity. Orderd the crepes which were divine, husband ordered an omelet which was equally as good. I like going into little restaurants because most of the time you get quality service and food
