Purple Bean

I got a hot snickers, blackberry scone and a peppermint mocha. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced! 😋 I'll definitely be coming back again.

When I try the big box coffee stores I'm sorely disappointed.
Also, these baristas are genuinely nice people and create an awesome atmosphere.

I lived in Portland for a long time and so I'm a hipster-coffee snob scumbag. I say that as a way of signalling my credentials. I drink black coffee so thick it goes down like snot and savor every slurp - I can tell you where there's good coffee. The house coffee there, Black Gold I think they call it, should not be given a gold medal, it's got a really gross aftertaste. BUT the organic selections that are there every day are fantastic. They use Longbottom coffee, which makes some really good stuff. It seems like they tend more towards dark brews, which most people mistakenly think are better (everyone's a tough guy or something), but they have GOOD dark brews. That's almost an oxymoron. Their froofy drinks are fantastic as well, and they have really good smoothies. One more negative about the place, the bagels aren't available toasted and they give you Philidelphia Cream Cheese which sometimes leaves me feeling like I've made a terrible mistake after I eat it, but I keep making that mistake. The people that work there are cool, and they have a great stamp card program. So go there!

Came here many times to use a coupon from the local coupon book called SaveAround for a B1G1 discount.The associate running the cash register was very rude and said we never accept those even though I used it last year multiple times. She said her boss would have to be involved as they don’t accept coupons ever. I tried to validate her that this is a partnership with there company and she said nope. I will not be back unless I receive an apology and explanation. Super unprofessional.

The staff is wonderful here! So pleasant and a great way to start your morning with great atmosphere and great coffee! Kaj is the absolute best with the kaj delight. Can't suggest this place enough.

Always a great experience, if you have a canine fur baby be sure to ask for a cookie for him/her. I recommend a sugar free mocha, blended.

When you pull up to the purple bean on 7th, you'll notice it's only a few blocks from Starbucks.
Starbucks is always full, the purple bean is a ghost town.
The coffee is burnt and bitter, and not cheap. When friends came to town, they agreed. It's just not good coffee.

This place has been there forever. Quirky, delicious, and comfortable local spot to meet friends. The drive through is fast too if that's your scene.

Buy local! They have great customer service and even better beverages with a variety of non-dairy options. Their matcha lattes made with coconut milk are the best!
