Eat here 6/26/2017 and still remember the taste of the Poblano pepper dish. Service was great and enjoyed the Voyager west coast IPA. Wife loved the James & The Giant Imperial Peach Wit

Very unique pastry selection! Haven't been able to find pretzel croissants many places in the US or some of the varieties here like sesame. Matcha latte was pretty solid too. A very nice breakfast spot in Reno! Very friendly service too.

Super cute coffee shop with plenty of parking but expensive, mediocre food that comes out really slowly.

They offer a large selection of food and everything is awkwardly seasoned with thyme, rosemary or lavender/apricot and would be better off serving a narrow, classic selection of food rather than weird concoctions. Chicken pot pie tasted like thyme overkill, breakfast tacos had a pile of pickled onions on them and lavender apricot on a turkey sandwich?

Amazing cookies (4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact)
Homage is a great spot in a converted house with lots of spacious seating out in the garden and on the porch. It’s popular with staff of the hospital, a block away, and they do a good job with Covid precautions (there’s a big bottle of sanitizer on each table). Bear in mind that they had sold out of many things by the time I got there at 12:30. My server was very friendly and recommended the Equinox cookie, which turned out to be Really Good. So good that I went back after lunch and got another, along with two other cookies. I wish I remember everything that was in my cookies – I think the Equinox had chocolate chunks, hazelnut, coriander seed and maybe orange. It was beautifully browned and crispy on the outside and a little chewy in the middle. They are just like the kind of cookies I like to bake myself and some of the best cookies I’ve had in a while.

My main lunch dish, was their quiche (scallion, mozzarella, pepperoncini) – again very imaginative and quite good (although the pepperoncini dominated it a bit too much). My main problem with it was that it cost $9 and when it arrived I almost asked the server: Are you serious? It was a tiny portion – like four bites – and came with no side salad or anything else; I felt insulted. $3 for a cookie is fine with me as they are really good and quite large but $9 was too much for my tiny portion of quiche. Perhaps I got an unusually small piece...

I’m also giving Homage 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons:
• The staff seems to be taken care of as there’s a 15% service fee included in the price.
• Their food is mostly vegetarian (and there are a few vegan options too)
• Food is delivered on great little compostable cardboard plates.
• Cups and plastic utensils are all disposable though, even for eating in house.
• My biggest issue with Homage is that ZERO information is provided on sourcing.
• Are the eggs pasture raised? I hope so, considering the price of the quiche!
• Same with all ingredients (butter, flour, etc.) – no information, and I searched extensively.
• I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt for now (and a chance to respond to this review) with 4 Green Stars because everything is made in-house and, based on their food, I would guess that they use good ingredients.

Epilogue: I did actually ask the server if they use pasture-raised eggs and she responded that everything is fully-cooked. I said: I’m thinking more about the hens. We were both confused by the exchange until afterwards I realized: Oh, she thought I said pasteurized! Lol. Kind of like a scene from Portlandia meets Curb your Enthusiasm :)

They really have perfected their cheesecake recipe here. The base crust has been consistently outstanding. They get away with many different types cheesecakes solely on their perfect cheesecake preparation. Texture wise, they are soft and creamy but firm enough to hold its shape while you dig in with every bite. I visit often and continue to be delighted by their cheesecakes.

Stopped in to try them out, and it was good. I'm not huge on coffee but sampled my hubby's mocha and it was amazing. My veggie wrap took quite awhile to arrive but nevertheless it was also very fresh and tasty. I took a dessert to go and it was very rich and delightful. Definitely would've paired well with one of their hot coffees. Overall vibe is very chill. A walk-up to kind of spot since parking is wherever you can find on the street. Not a big deal, since it's in a pedestrian friendly area just something to keep in mind.

Best coffee in Reno!

Gorgeous tree shaded patio out front. The staff were very helpful and the cafe was clean and approachable. One bite into the ginger molasses cookie changed my life!!! There is a perfect ring of crisp crust on the outer edge of the cookie. This cookie is huge and there is room to have the crispness co-mingle with the desirable chewiness of the center. Immediately, the spices make their presence known! Lingering in the background is almost a blood orange flavor that sets this cookie far apart from any other ginger molasses cookie. The cappuccino was perfect in every way!

I will be stopping here every time I'm in town! I only wish I could get some of those cookies shipped to me!

Great place to get some good food on a beautiful Reno morning. Everything looked great and there is a lot to choose from. Ended up with rhubarb custard pie, dark chocolate bombe, and cappuccino. All delicious!

Homage is AMAZING. The drinks are fantastic and their food is just as good, if not better. The croissants melt in your mouth, the quiche is great and don't get me started on the cookies. You are missing out if you don't stop by, I will miss this place when I leave!

Lovely bakery, very cozy and with nice photo expo. The almond croissant is the best! The chai latte is also delicious. Very friendly ambiance and service. The only bad part is the price, almost 10 dollar for a latte and a croissant seems too much
