Carnegie's Café

Been here for breakfast a few times. I usually have a little comp money to spend here. The quality is about the same as Denny’s to me. Breakfast is always good. I don’t recommend lunch. One time I had a hamburger and the bun tasted funny. Anyway, it’s not too expensive and it is convenient. You can use your comps there.

I was very happy to know this place was 24/7. I was greeted and helped by a gentleman named Alex. He alone made my little visit enjoyable, as he had a good attitude and was so friendly. The food was delish! Brioche buns. Yum. The food is made with love for sure. Lol. As you can see I devoured it!

Carnegie Cafe at Tropicana Laughlin serves up a great breakfast, even late in the morning. Stopped there again yesterday, almost noon for breakfast. It's not my first time there and won't be my last. My only negative thing to say is they could use more staff (like many places), but those employees working, do a great balancing act and provide a good meal experience.

When we arrived, the cashier/host was busy at the counter, but she reached out and told us she'd be there shortly. We were seated a few minutes later, and by that time, a short line had formed behind us. Good timing for us. Our server Eva took a few minutes to get to us, as she was busy with several tables. But she arrived and greeted us like her only table. Efficiently took our order and scooted off to another new table.

Breakfast arrived several minutes later, served up by Eva again, and landed on the table our complete, and correct meals. Even remembering the peanut butter. She chatted a short minute to make sure we had everything while again making it seem effortless.

Breakfast of Corned Beef Hash & Scrambled Eggs, along with an order of their American Style Breakfast for my mate was hot, prepared correctly, and a healthy portion. It wasn't the first time I've had a perfect breakfast at Carnegie either. Good job kitchen staff - you usually get left out.

The staff was busy but got around to all their tables as best they could. And while I'm sure there might have been a couple people that weren't patient, I thought the whole place did a great job from start to finish.

I also want to point out Amber. I believe she is the manager/host. I've had interactions with her a couple times that I've been there.
She's always been friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond, even running to the bar for a couple of Mimosas, because the server was just too busy that day.

Celebrating my husband birthday we had brunch. The service was great and the waitresses Cherri was amazing. She greeted us with a smile and served the food quickly. The staff was awesome. Everyone helped to make this a great experience.

It’s an old Casino Cafe. It hasn’t been a vibrant going concern in years. The service was exceptional (Rebecca did everything in her power to make us feel welcome). The food was average at best, my wife ordered sausage, it looked very tasty from the outside but was perfectly raw once you cut into it. The plates, cups and silverware were cheap. There was nothing about this place that said it was trying to compete or compare with other establishments in Laughlin. Well except for Rebecca, a cute local girl who I wish nothing but the best for!

Horrible food. $17 worth of dry country fried steak, mashed potatoes from the box and green beans cooked week ago! All masked with gravy that was full of paper corns.
And $4 sweet tea - nothing more than glas full of ice with slice of lemon.

Food was delicious and Alex F. made the whole experience even better. From walking in to ordering to talking, he was just all around great! Appreciate you Alex! Thanks for the great service.

Ordered the Pan Asian which is teriyaki salmon with broccoli. I received chicken teriyaki with green beans. I had overheard that the broccoli had been out for the last 3 days and had no idea about the salmon. I had just happened to hear the waitress tell another customer that they had been out of broccoli for a while. You could put up a sign and tell us these things ahead of time. I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s crazy. My order was nothing close to what I ordered and they knew it was gonna be like that and didn’t tell me.

Our service was excellent Cherri was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out quickly although the pancakes were overcooked and had to be sent back and remade but Cherri took care of that immediately and with a smile .

Our waitress was very friendly and fast. Her name was Eva. She was cordial and a delight. Thank you.
