Old World Coffee Lab

This is a great coffee shop with real character! The ambiance is terrific inside and it features a large beautiful patio for warm weather outside dining. They have delicious seasonal lattes and very good lemon bars. Chelsea provided particularly cheerful service! Definitely a place to return to!

I'll give OW an extra ⭐ for serving 8oz drinks AND including sales tax in their prices, which I really appreciate. I got an 8-oz decaf cappuccino, which was excellent - rich & smooth. They sell decaf varietals, which are hard to find. Great ambience with the outside fire pit and spacious seating. My only beef is that they purport to sell only cappuccino in the 8-oz size, which is BS. Most roasters who serve good coffee assert that 8-oz should be the standard for all drinks except shots, macchiato, etc. I forgive OW.

Quick service. Prices average. Matcha latte (4 stars) was good- with honey, but the espresso started out at a tasty 4 stars and ended up at a bitter 3 stars. The speedy WiFi almost moved it back to 4 stars.

The coffee here is amazing, I've never had such good coffee anywhere else. The skilled barista will make you a beautiful cup of coffee that can be sweet or savory. If you in Carson this is the place to stop and get coffee.

Stopped in for a coffee and to do a little work online while passing through Carson City...the nitro cold brew was completely flat (nitro tank was dry yet they still served it to me) and their wifi didn't work. Covered outdoor seating is really nice but I best be moving on to the next town to try again.

What a great coffee shop! We visited the Tahoe area and came across this place. Outstanding coffee and a well designed roomy layout for both inside and outside. Just a great relaxing environment. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Hands-down the best specialty coffee in Carson. We buy espresso drinks...pitch perfect flat white...and the beans too. I come here far too often! Very friendly baristas (shout out to Erin, Chelsea) and overall very nice atmosphere. The dog friendly patio and outdoor fireplace are a plus. Wish list: It would be great if patio seating was more comfortable, and a couple more tables inside, or a "community" table, wouldn't hurt! Also, would love a savory breakfast pastry!

My recent visit to Old world coffee lab was very satisfying and enjoyable. It was a Sunday afternoon the weather was pretty warm there were a few people in the beautifully appointed courtyard. I had a iced version and a hot version of a coffee drink that included cinnamon and a little Cayenne coffee and chocolate. Yummy! My buddy still was friendly and very capable. This is the back end of the Union brewery and restaurant. Please see my review of my experience there also.

I work across the street and my coworkers and I like to frequent this place. Sometimes we hold up the line but Erin handles it like a champ! The coffee is fantastic and so is the service. 10/10 would recommend.

PS: we love the other baristas too we just usually see Erin when we go.

I really like the coffee here. I always get the Vanilla Lavendar Latte. The esthetic is clean lines and natural wood.
