Talk about hospitality!! Our waitress was AMAZINGLY nice and helpful! We both had the chicken fried steak and it was very filling. The cookies are delicious as well! A nice break from the standard fast food menus! Would love to go back!

Great tasting food made fresh to order. Trudy (owner) is amazing and will make sure you are well fed. Portions are huge, so plan on taking a box home. A MUST STOP in Wibaux.

My family and I had a great time eating and chatting. Their roast beef special reminded us all of good family dinners shared in our childhood. Really tender, generous portions, homemade mash with gravy and southern sides. We'll be heading back to try more soon.
The restaurant itself has clean and tastefully done. Enough space for large families to have an event. Comfortable booth seating. You'll not find friendlier staff. Texas hospitality lives on here.
When parking, there are plendy of options. Streetside or sidestreet. When you are driving into the downtown area, it will be on your left side a minute after you pass under the bridge.

Stayed a night in the Airbnb next door owned by the same people! It was ssooo nice and cozy. We actually got vouchers for the cafe because of our stay in the Airbnb, so we stopped by the check out the cafe- and not disappointed! Great prices for filling food!
Breakfast ends at 11am, but we really loved the dinner options too! Trudy is very sweet and attentive.
I was nervous coming to a small town in the middle of nowhere on our trip cross country, but this place filled my soul with delicious food and a warm atmosphere! Might come back just cause ☺️

This is a great little place with the ambiance of small town America. There is always service with a smile and some time to chat if they are not super busy. I detect a bit "Southern Hospitality" flair in the atmosphere. There are also some southern dishes that I have not eaten as of yet. I've tried 3 separate dishes previous to this review and all have been tasty and worth the price paid.
I posted 4 stars, because at the time of this review we are still in the midst of the COVID19 restrictions which distracts from the what the overall experience should be when they are more folks dining and you can sit anywhere you want.

Get off the highway and stop! Delicious breakfast, from scratch, in a cute diner! Don’t forget the caramel roll! Better yet check out their available Airbnbs that are a great place to stay if you’re wanting to check out Theodore Roosevelt NP! You won’t regret a stay in a sweet small town!!

This place is an absolute gem. If you are traveling anywhere near Wibaux and you need a bite to eat, stop here. The food is all made from scratch. Local beef. Incredible owners. This unassuming restaurant is worth the stop.

Love small town diners. The food beats any chain restaurant hands down. This place is no exception.

We are so glad we stopped here. We had breakfast and it was really delicious. You can tell they make everything from scratch.
I had the French toast, two eggs scrambled with cheese, and bacon. The French toast didn't need syrup, and I was told they hand make the bread every morning.
My husband had the chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, and two eggs over medium. The chicken fried steak was the best we've ever had.
The service was decent. There were only two ladies working and it was a little busy during breakfast. The servers were kind and that is what is important.
