General Mercantile

My favorite store in the whole town! All of the funny knickknacks, koi fish, products and beverages complete the store's unique style. It's like something out of Harry Potter, it's magical.

Incredible Atmosphere! Take a step back in time as you sip a latte and browse the many hard-to-find gifts. General Mercantile is a hidden local Gem that everyone is talking about!

A very cool store/café to hang out and enjoy the people watching, merch browsing, or whatever meditative morning (or afternoon) activity you have planned for yourself. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable.

Quaint place with awesome gifts, but no WiFi!

We come here every Saturday with my brother and his kiddos. Usually they dont make us pay till we leave which is great for when you have kids that like to run and play. This one staff member was very flirty with my brother. He asked for her number as shes in his age group and seemed to like him. Well she made him feel super awawkwa about it. the next week we came she had a different girl ring him up(understandable i guess) however this different employee made my brother pay up front and accused him of walking out without paying the week before. wichw isnt true because he asked for the girls number as he was paying to leave. Today we spoke with the manager about the employees unprofessional behavior the manager just brushed it off like she didnt even care that her employee accused a customer of stealing! They continuec to make him uncomfortable about the whole situation. we will NOT be returning to the merc due to their very unprofessional employees. Thanks alot MERC for ruining a family tradition for a 3 year old and 6 year old!

Neat place to get a cup of coffee and and have a conversation with a friend. There are booths in nooks scattered throughout the store. In addition they have unusual and interesting items for sale.

This location has some very good tea. I also liked the General atmosphere. In addition to the drinks, it sells a wide range of odd and interesting items.

Delicious chai! Such a fun store, you could shop for hours. Incredible retro candy selection!
