Great little diner that we just happened up on or our way home to Ohio. Ordered breakfast. It was really a 10 for quality and quantity. Service was great. I wish we lived nearby, we'd frequent the restaurant often. Great value for the money spent.
I did not walk into this place expecting to be pleasantly surprised by homemade honey mustard. I was. Bonus points for the nice waitress who had the hair and dress of a 1984 Aerosmith groupie. I had the tenderloin meal. The salad was straight up bagged chopped iceberg lettuce mix, but at least it was fresh. Gave us a lot of crackers too. The green beans were cooked perfectly and seasoned with onion and maybe beef broth? Mashed potatoes and tenderloin were excellent. Girlfriend enjoyed the slaw and her chicken. She liked the breading. This place was way better than we expected. Edit: dropped this review to 4 stars from 5 because they allow smoking inside.
The food and service was good but I wish they wouldn't allow people to smoke inside. I have allergies to cigarette smoke and you stink like a ashtray when you leave. I almost don't eat there because of this. Thanks
This was the perfect stop to the end of our family float trip weekend! The food was great, kids loved their pancakes…the b & g were delicious…the special was “ the monster breakfast sandwich”…the bomb! They were super fast and friendly! Definitely will stop again :)
This is a very locally oriented cafe. My main problem with this spot is that locals are allowed to smoke inside the restaurant. Makes it quite unpleasant for nonsmokers who want to eat here. My barbeque sandwich was good but the French fries were just mediocre. Service was prompt and reasonably friendly. Notice: they do NOT accept credit cards here!
Awesome food Im unconventional so I had fried shrimp and fried mushrooms for my breakfast. The cook was kind enough to let me order whatever I wanted, his name is Douglas Geyer be sure to stop by Preston Cafe in your way to lakes and ask if Doug is cooking you'll have your meal in a fast hurry
We planned on stopping in Warsaw for breakfast and stopped her instead. Yum Biscuits and sausage gravy did not need any salt or pepper biscuits fluffy coffee good I had the American breakfast special and was surprisingly pleased how good scrambled eggs and ham can taste. Been 2 years COVID since we have had a decent breakfast while road tripping between campsites Smiths included stop here
Always great food & friendly service. If you have never been, expect to make a new friend, because from the staff to the customers, this place draws in friendly folks!!! I've been coming here since I was a child. I'm 61 & will continue.
