The espresso here is unbelievably good. I keep sipping my drink and continually being astounded at how much I am enjoying it. Godly.

OMG, Chocolate Chai! Really solid Messenger espresso and I've never had a bitter shot here (I usually get an Americano). So much seating, so much great graffiti in the gender-neutral restroom, so many tasty pastries. The shops there have lots of outdoor tables, too. They are also very dog-friendly (water dish AND doggie biscuits!!!), you can watch runners go by, and there is an hilarious sign in the window about local coffee (in the context of their location). Crows have also taken a pro-Queer stand all over the city which makes them even more wonderful.

Gibraltar (Cortado) was tasty. Good music, cozy.

Great customer service and STELLAR coffee. The chocolate chai was pretty great and we grabbed a bag of beans to take home.👌🏼

Crows Coffee is a magical place to me. Very magical. As a writer previously suffering from writers block on a theological novel, Crows broke that block and actually attributed to my work. How? There was a scripture hidden on the wall inside that I happened to notice. It talked about a crow/raven feeding the prophet Isaiah everyday when he was in the wilderness. That, along with the delicious white mochas and veggie burritos with the green sauce, inspired my mind to write the rest of my novel in a sort of 'stream of consciousness' way.. So thank you Crows! ❤

This review is about their hot chocolate. The reason for two stars is that we actually got warm milk, thus missing the chocolate and sugar, yet this wasn't a mistake, they just thought they were making a hot chocolate. I know this is a coffee shop and I hope to give them another try for what they should do best. I hope they try their hot chocolate and either quit offering it or seriously do a better job.
I did appreciate the decorative detail to the cream on top. The prices seemed really reasonable.

I stopped by Crows today after a long hiatus, thanks to the covid era, and noticed they still had their "Read Me" sign affixed to the door, with a list of requirements and protocols. I looked in and also noticed that they have half the seating availability (if not less), which gave the place a more somber, office-like vibe than a coffee shop--at least to me. I understand that we all do what we have to do. . . . Live and let live kinda thing.
I opted to go elsewhere. . . . not far away in Brookside, where the atmosphere felt like an actual coffee shop: more open, more seating and less restrictive--lively, even.. Oh--and good coffee! Maybe I'll check back in at Crows in a few months. . . .

I love locally owned business and I especially love it when the owners have a good heart and are involved in the community. The owner and staff of Crows (and I've been to all three KC locations) are top-notch humans and that is reflected in the environments they have created at each of their locations and in the beverages and food that they serve. Highly recommend.

Great coffee, however if you like to enjoy your coffee on the patio, be advised... Every day, there is a homeless guy, “Scrappy”, who occupies an entire table and has his belongings with him, resulting in a very unpleasant odor. I really feel bad for him, but the business shouldn’t enable this so that other patrons can enjoy the patio.

I began meeting at Crows with one of my classes. I was skeptical at first, but now I'm glad I found this little place! Nice atmosphere, kind and helpful baristas, AMAZING cream cheese danishes. The tea and coffee never fails to make me happy about going to class. Definitely worth a try!
