Excellent service and quality espresso. My coconut milk mocha was smooth and delicious. A great spot to work or take a break.

Excellent coffee and a great place to hang out. The staff is great.

One of Kansas City's classic coffee shops! Starbucks, as giant brands are apt to do, moved right next door at the exclusive corner of Westport and Broadway streets a few years back. They went under!!! 😀 That, alone, proves the endearing love and power of this long standing establishment! Want the best coffee, latte, etc, in the metro. Look no further. The vibe alone is worth the time.

Excellent local coffee shop. We tried a caramel macchiato and carrot cake and but were great. They offer a free refill of brewed coffee with any coffee or espresso drink.

I've probably had coffee here 75 times between 2003 and now. This was my first real experience with coffee, sitting outside on the chairs and watching the people walk by. Sitting out front listening to the live music on the patio behind the shop as jazz music was played. Worrying that they'd be forced to close when the Starbucks moved in next door, and rejoicing when they finally had to shutter and Broadway soldiered on. Watching the landscape around it constantly change. Moving away over a decade ago and coming back to see it exactly as I left it. When my twins were born, I walked down from the hospital for two cups and a cookie. I hope this place never closes so that my heart remains intact.

After trying the coffee all over town, I've concluded that Broadway Cafe is the best. They roast their own beans (to perfection), they have a nice selection of beans, all of the drinks on the menu are great (iced mocha is my favorite). The baristas are very friendly, prices are reasonable, clientele is interesting, and they play awesome music. Broadway Cafe is a particularly good place to go grab a coffee, sit outside, and "people watch" or chat with whoever happens to be sitting there (usually busy). Also a great place to hang out for a couple hours of websurfing on your laptop.

Favorite neighborhood spot to grab coffee.

A great local neighborhood place. Everyone is friendly, including staff and guests, and tge coffee is tasty (& roasted down the road). They offer limited side foods, including some pastries and sandwiches, which are nice for a quick bite. Also, multiple items are vegan.

I don't see the attraction here. I've been here maybe three or four times over the last six months, but each time, everyone has consistently either been rude or totally indifferent, all performing their jobs with sullen, deadpan expressions on their faces, and neither welcoming nor possessed of enough common courtesy to return a smile or to say thank you. The atmosphere seems "cliquish-hipster."

Best espresso pulls in town. Period. Fresh roasted coffee from up the street and tasty croissants and other treats. Don't take the last one though...I will want it!
