Definitely come here if you are stopping in Hannibal. Great spot for coffee and pastries. When I stopped by On a Saturday morning, it seemed like it was the only place in the historic section of town where any people were congregating.

This is a cute place with a very eclectic vibe. I loved enjoying our food and coffee in a very historical building.

We were visiting Hannibal and stopped into Java Jive for some treats while exploring downtown. We enjoyed everything we tried, and made a special trip back into town the next morning to get our caffeine for the drive to our next stop.

The coffee shop is so spacious & absolutely cute. The coffee was divine. I have had it twice now when visiting in Hannibal & we MUST go there. I love the little variety of gifts/shop and the seating area. It has so much character. We love it here. White Chocolate Raspberry Mocha Iced. BOMB.

I had the mocha cappuccino and a cinnamon crumble muffin. Both trays were delicious. Friendly atmosphere, great seating and nostalgia galore! I recommend the experience.

Nice cafe on main street. Great coffee, lots of baked goods, treats, local art, eclectic gifts.

We go here daily out of convenience because it is the only coffee that is not out of the way. The coffee is okay. Sometimes the frozen coffees taste powdery or gritty. The pastries are decent. Their variety isn't what it once was. They offer vegan and gluten free options, but I've always found those bland in taste. They took away a lot of their comfortable seating. It is one of the 3 best coffee places in town with MiMis being on top.
I'd suggest lunch more than breakfast hours.
Every now and then, they have live music outside in the form of a pianist and drummer.
They are right in the middle of the historic district of town. This makes parking fun to find. It can also mean they are extremely busy during certain seasons and festivals.
If they set their seating back up with wifi, they make an easy to find common ground to meet with clients for business.
The best part of the place is shopping through their gag gift section. I never buy anything because the price is out of this world, but I do get a few laughs. It's like memes you can hold in your hand.
Update: I do love the staff at Java Jive. They are quirky and fun. I don't often order a specific drink, I just have them surprise me. They like to laugh and joke. They are good at remembering names and details about people. They will also remember your order if you are a frequent flyer.
They offer teas and lotus drinks as well. They also have ice cream. They can help you stay on a healthy track, or They can give you a complete sugar rush. I'm changing my rating to 5 stars simply because I enjoy the eclectic and flamboyant staff.

Great coffee. Nice staff. Cute little tourist shopping and some local crafts, like pottery. Big space to sit with soft couches and chairs. Plenty of dinning table area. Interesting historic building.
