I love this place! Java Jive is my family's go to place for breakfast, lunch, baked goods, lattes and more. Great selection of offbeat greeting cards, books, puzzles and gifts.

It seems that they feature different baked goods each day. And they make big sugar cookies featuring monthly themes like Pride month & 4th of July. The kids always are jazzed when I bring some home as a surprise. And they started taking selfies with the cookies (some posted here)

Employees are helpful, pleasant and some even remember my name. The selection of food, the ambience & the seating areas are very creative, welcoming and offer a safe haven to sit with friends, family or enjoy some alone time. Highly recommended!

I love flavored coffees and iced teas. Java Jive has my fix! My favorites are the Blackberry Sage and Watermelon Mint Iced Teas. The Highlander Grog is my favorite flavored coffee, but I have never had any other flavored coffees that have disliked and I appreciate the variety. It's great to try something new! Their bakery case always has something fresh and creative from their bakers. They are definitely hard to pass up! My go to meal is the Cranberry Turkey Pecan Salad, because I really dig their housemade poppyseed dressing!

This place is a hidden gem! Was close to our hotel so we decided to try it and fell in love. The bakery treats are top notch (try the brownie balls, thank me later) and the coffee is better (not bitter at all) than Starbucks for sure. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean clean clean!! It's such a cute place to browse for gifts or sit and relax. We loved it so much we stopped in one more time before going home! When we visit again we will be back.

This is honestly the best coffee shop in Hannibal and honestly one of my personal favorites. Way better than Starbucks that's for sure. It has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere with super nice baristas. The coffee and the food is top notch. I have loved this place since I was a teenager and when I moved back to Hannibal 3 years ago, it was just as good if not better than I remembered it to be. If you are a local or a tourist looking for somewhere with good coffee and good food, this is the place to be.

Really great food and atmosphere. They also have a ton of great things to buy, which make perfect gifts. Highly recommend stopping by and grabbing at least a coffee.

The first time I went to Java Jive was in 2013. I was on my first family trip in six years, to the Illinois state fair, and my mom impulsively pulled up the directions to Hannibal.
Stepping in here with my siblings, parents, and grandma out of the summer heat, it felt like time stopped for a little while. The surroundings were gorgeous - the art and pottery everywhere made it feel like a welcoming, creative space, and you could feel that all the regulars were valued and all the tourists were treated like 'future regulars.'

It worked on me. I've come back once a year since, and though the faces have changed, nothing has diminished in quality - the space has only grown more beautiful. I'm looking forward to my yearly stop through this September.

Food is a plus as are the desserts usually. Coffee, drink recipes and syrups are terrible. Baristas are okay but the owner/manager who doubles as a barista can be condescending though not overtly rude. Wish they would stick to a consistent recipe for the pasta salad. Used to be great.
