The Chicken House

When I came here, I just came here because I saw the huge rooster and thought that it might be a great place to eat, oh boy was I wrong! My family and I got soda and they were all watered-down absolutely disgusting, the menu had terrible pictures but we were like ohh...umm maybe we should rethink this. I will also state that our server just started the day before, and he said that their SEA food bar, was a big hit?! Can someone tell me why a chicken house has sea food?! Okay but anyway he let us go with free drinks, but it was absolutely disgusting, and VERY dirty not cleaned at all. So DO NOT waste your time here, save yourself the time and money!! Honestly if I could I would rate 0 stars! I RECOMMEND that you DO NOT eat here, unless you want to die....I don't know how it is now but I can tell you my experience was not good!

This place is ridiculously expensive for what you get! I got a small chicken fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy, okra and it was$16.99!!.
Only one waitress that seemed very overwhelmed 😕. Avoid this place at all costs

Very open dining. Temperature was cool. Maybe it is shortage of personnel, but food could be improved for the price that they request. But the MIMOSAS were amazing!!

Looked nice from the outside so we chose this as our lunch, we tried to order one of the lunch combos but it was unavailable. The menu is really limited, we had a server which idk her name but it was a redhead lady she acted mad because we didn’t get from the buffet we actually ordered from the menu. The bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages and it stunk not just in the bathroom but the whole resturant; when we finished our food which was pretty mediocre we waited around 20 minutes for the check which we asked multiple times for and she tried to act nice at the end so we would leave her a nice tip.

We usually get good food there. BUT this time the food was dry and old. It might have been due to the fact that it was the off season and lack of patrons to eat off the buffet. In other words, no rotation.

I would have gave 0 stars if it was an option. Worse than hotel food. I don’t even know how to explain the hash browns, almost tasted like they were freeze dried then heated up. Biscuits were hard and dry, the gravy didn’t even help them. We will not be eating here again.

We had 2 adult and 1 child breakfast buffets. It was horrible! We got there at 8:00 a.m. The food was terrible!!! It cost us $50 ! A huge waste of money! The place looks like it's going under! There was 1 waitress and one cook( the guy reheating the food). I don't recommend it!

I wish I was as smart as you and actually read the reviews on this place before I came here. They have a dinner buffet which is what the other people in my party got. I got chicken and dumplings which came out to a repulsive room temperature . They were nice enough to warm it to lukewarm. This place was empty and I understand why. Sure stop by and take a picture with the gigantic chicken, don’t dine here. Maybe they have a good breakfast, I was served a biscuit with my meal and maybe it would have been covered with their bland white pepper gravy.

Great visit to a unique restaurant. The chicken fried chicken was great. The spicy corn was even better.

The staff was friendly and super helpful about Branson.
