Byrd's Pecan Delights

I had the BLT. It was delicious. I kept seeing other orders that looked so yummy as well. Was that a pile of mashed taters with chicken noodles on top? Gotta check that out! Desserts and baked goods any one? How about those Amish canned goods? What a treasure of a place to stop in while thrift/antique shopping. Oh don't forget the flavored pecans.

My self and my buddy were there 11 march 2022 for lunch, and boy do I have a complaint!! I got this big pulled pork sammich , which was on a big soft bun with a huge load of smoked meat and slathered in bbq sauce. Two crisp dill pickle slices on the side and also a order of the really great coleslaw. Now this big sammitch was hard to pick up as large as it was, and I didn't do a very good job of handling it, dropping chunks of meat on to my plate and bbq sauce all over my hands and face, running down my chin. It was a serious struggle to eat this thing. I had some major hand and face wiping to do and I was utterly disappointed to find how small the napkins were. I went thru those miniscule napkins like they were free. Piddly little things. With the mess I made I'd rather had paper towels, a whole roll of them. On the positive side the staff are great, especially the older woman (maybe 45 years old), dark hair, medium build, very amenable, and a delightful smile. Just her smile makes ya glad ya came in the place. Probable should ask her name the next time we're in. My wife loves the place as she likes anything with pecans, and lots of jellies and sauces to purchase, Mountain Mary's cookies, honey, cups and tee shirts. Have to mention the ice cream is good too. Prices are reasonable for what ya get.

There is no question why this place has an exceptional rating with it's reviews. There are so many amazing things going on with this place its hard to list them all, but I will do my best.

The quality of the food is excellent, from the breakfast items to the lunches and I do not even need to mention how amazing the homemade ice cream recipe is. Not only is the food great but the service has always been enjoyable for me.

The store is decorated so well and plenty of items to catch your wandering eyes attention as you eat and entices you to shop after you are finished.

I could go on and say more but for the sake of the readers I will just say we are lucky to have such a great shop in our town. I just wish I had more time to get in there!

Great place with perfectly grilled sandwiches. The jalapeno popper is divine. Wife loves the BLT so she gets that every time. I had the patty melt last time and it was great, too. It has bbq sauce on it and that gives it a little bit of a boost from your typical melt. Yum! Don't get me started on the shakes. My goodness they're delicious. Service is always friendly. Great small town place that I recommend. Highly. Oh yeah, they have a lot of delicious sweets for sale too. And pecans and pecan pies. And lots of neat knick knacks.

Went in to get the most amazing Carmel pecan pie I have ever tasted. So many sweet and more.
The bathroom, behind the barn door, has hymnal pages on the wall. So cool.

My wife loved her patty melt. My blt was average at best. The bacon was all fat and couldn't chew it. Staff was friendly. I would go back again.

I have been there several times... love the home made ice cream shakes with a big selection of add ins. Awesome chicken salad sandwiches. She is enlarging the kitchen to enable the to offer more items. Enjoy a game of checkers while you are there. Very relaxed, comfortable shop.

Now this place is a hidden gem! Ice cream for breakfast 😋 or you can be totally normal and have a good ole cup of joe in all kinds of ways. The music is awesome but not so loud that you can't enjoy. The decor is nothing that you would expect in a small town. Place has charm and a few cool items that you can purchase to surprise a special someone. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing!!! Wonderful meal topped off with a pecan pie shake made with REAL Homemade ice cream!!! Omgosh…. It doesn’t get any better.
It felt like visiting old friends in their home.
