I ordered through an app for delivery. I ordered the Seafood Atchafalaya. I know that I shouldn't expect to get exactly "as pictured" meal, but they missed the mark tremendously. I added the pictures from the website vs what I received. I want to be able taste the pasta and seafood. It came as more of a soup!!!

Harbor View has really great food! Staff was very friendly. The mac and cheese bites are awesome!!
Came back in July. Tried the crab cakes and shrimp! Both were awesome!!

This is a pretty nice restaurant, just a couple blocks from the beach. The wait staff is friendly enough and the food is good enough. We've been here a few times now, always with the same results. On this trip, I had the blackened shrimp Po boy, gumbo, Gouda macaroni bites, and loaded fries. The po boy was good, not great. The shrimp wasn't really blackened... In fact you wouldn't have known it was supposed to be if you hadn't asked for it that way, and the bread was a little soft for a po boy. Other than that, it was good.
The gumbo was a thin gravy, which isn't my preference, but that said this was the best thin gravy variety I've had.
The Gouda bites were very good, and the fries were just fine.
The prices are quite reasonable, and we'll not hesitate to visit again.

I've been going to Harbor View for years. Whenever I'm in town to see family I like to stop by, but I've noticed a change lately. Now, don't get me wrong a few years ago I got prime rib there that was the absolute best prime rib I have ever had. It was amazing, enough cannot be said about that. But why the three stars? The quality and service is suffering as of late. If you order a fried shrimp platter especially here on the coast you'd expect big butterflied hand breaded shrimp, heck even a nice grilled shrimp would be succulent and large. Nope, not here anymore. The shrimp is popcorn sized and sad. The Catfish filets, smaller, not as thick. I could go on. On the flip side, if you don't mind a wait and a dining room as loud as a high school cafeteria it's still an OK place to go. You won't be dazzled but you won't be let down.

New resident to Long Beach and First time visiting this restaurant, we had a wonderful experience and a terrific server named Meredith. We had the Philly surf and turf and a roast beef po boy which as a person from NOLA was delicious with excellent gravy, also the fried pickles were so good and fried perfectly! My husband had a Bloody Mary which he said was delicious, and I have a strawberry mocktail mojito which was so fresh (she literally picked the mint from the bush outside and yummy! We will be back!

My wife and I tried this restaurant while having lunch with a close friend. The decor and building itself were lovely. The food is home style American with some traditional favorites. We tried the smoked tuna dip, crab cakes, fried oyster salad, and grilled shrimp salad. All the food was tasty but nothing to really write home about. We’d probably return for a casual brunch but wouldn’t be rushing back in to try any of the other dishes.

A nice unpretentious restaurant with good food and great service. We went two nights in a row while visiting the area! I would recommend the fried catfish. I'm not a big fan of fish, but thoroughly enjoyed it here. They also have great coffee to go with your dessert! And the waitress was very warm and responsive to our needs. That was the deciding factor to go back again the second night. Thanks Katie!!

Very busy on a late Sunday morning. Went with a large party and ate indoors but there were tables on the porch which would have been lovely on a beautiful breezy gulf day. Service was good considering the crowd. Breakfast fare was great. Had a vegetarian omelet and swapped the feta for swiss. Was cooked perfectly, no raw spots, no browned spots. Delicious. Good grits and great selection for toast options including white, wheat, rye, raisin, English muffin, etc. Would definitely recommend reservation if possible. Nice Sunday brunch place.

We are looking to open a business in Long Beach and are trying restaurants out, the server was really nice, Poboy and Burger we got was good, my fries were extremely over seasoned though. I also wouldn’t recommend the fried green tomatoes. Desserts, I wish they would cover the cakes, we got a slice and it was extremely dry. We will try again and hopefully next experience with food will be better, other than that, service was good.
