Amazing does not even begin to describe how the food is here. Had the Craw Daddy Burger and I will definitely come back for it again.

My husband and I went to check this place out on a Saturday around 1pm. It wasn’t crowded but had a steady stream of customers. The shrimp and grits were wonderful! Definitely plenty per portion. The shrimp sandwich was loaded with shrimp and they were seasoned to perfection. The gumbo was more tomatoey than I like but it was good and my husband loved it! Wonderful atmosphere and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Never had an empty drink!

Stumbled across this place based on Google reviews. The place is a really cool eclectic place in the staff are very friendly. I ordered the red fish special and it was some of the best food I have ever tried. They say that Guy Fieri has been back two times since featuring them on his show to try to get the recipe for it. I believe it as it really was that good. There is a really cool outdoor area as well with plenty of seating and an outdoor stage for music.

The food here has always been fresh and delicious here. I have never been disappointed. In fact I love this restaurant and food so much I moved to long beach to work here. I could tell they treated their staff great from how friendly and upbeat they always are when I come in to eat. Now I am part of the incredible team who are amazing to work with.

Service was good. All of the staff came by several times to check on us. I rated it negative because as others have mentioned its a bit if a weird setup. Upon entering your greeted by the owner/ head chef. He offers you a sample of anything on the menu to try while you order. This is great. The problem arises after you sit to eat as he is a Tad loud which wouldn't be a problem except its such a small area you end up listening to him the entire time your eating. You can also hear his interaction with his staff. Whether good or bad. They do have a patio which would be great in warmer weather months. The food was superb and the experience overall was good. I would def recommend to any one wanting to get a taste of what the coast has to offer. If the owner would dial it back just a notch it would get 5 stars from me.

It was delicious food! I got a seafood gumbo cup & small salad! Everybody that order with me loved their food! The staff was so helpful & friendly! Great atmosphere & music! I love that they play Christian hymns!

Loved this place. Love the set up with all the decor, outdoor seating with lights and tons of cool things to look at. Food was excellent and service was very good too! Owner or manger even came out to check on things and chat a bit. Great cool place to experience.

What's not to love about Darwell's? Super fun place and amazing food. Just writing this review makes my mouth water for some of papa D's good eats! Great place for friends and family to meet up and just chill. The inside rooms are a little tight but there's lots of room in the courtyard for outside dining.
