Darwell's Cafe

This was my second time at Darwell's and it was great! I had the shrimp and grits and it was perfect. So sorry i forgot to take a picture of it. The chef brought out a cup of base for the etouffee for me to sample and it was incredible. I will definitely be getting that next time. This place has some great food and tons of flavor! Do yourself a favor and stop in!
Im back a few days later and got the crawfish etouffee and the pina colada brownie, both of which were excellent!

Cool place. Diamond in the rough. Food was fresh and delicious.

Love this place. What a great combo: good food and an art gallery. Chili cheeseburger was yummy. My 9-year-old granddaughter loved the nachos. Owner takes time to visit with patrons. Good for locals, tourists.

Chef Darrell and the whole family are amazing, The food is outstanding, we just love this place and every time that we’re in Long Beach we’re gonna make sure that we come here and bring everyone that we have with us

Passing thru Gulfport, Darwells was recommended to us & we certainly weren't disappointed. It's a unique little place with delicious food & socially distanced outside seating. We had the opportunity to talk to the owner & he was as unique as his restaurant. He gave us samples of what Guy Fieri ate when he visited. A wonderful experience!

Amazing food and great service! A must visit while in South Mississippi.

I have been going to Darwells’s restaurant for a long time and I have never had a bad meal. The service has always been excellent as well. The eclectic ambiance in a definite draw for me and with live music most every night, it’s just very enjoyable to sit and listen to it as you eat your meal. The deserts are also great and the sweet is the best I’ve found on the coast.

Awesome place. The only thing that trumps the food is the bodaciousness of the art and overall atmosphere.... Worth checking out.

I can't rave enough about this place!! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with a warm "howdy folks". I never had etouffee and was urged to try and it did not disappoint! I ordered the crab cakes that was served with delicious remoulade and the most savory green beans I ever had. The sweet tea was cold and refreshing. We loved the art work, eccentric decor and the thousands of twinkle lights on the ceiling. An added bonus was the live entertainment and outdoor seating. Love this place!!
