Darwell's Cafe

Googled this place on a whim as I was passing through for places to eat and this little gem popped up, after looking through some of the pictures I came across a picture of a burger smothered in what I thought was a sauce. Turns out it was Etouffee. This is what this place is know for their Etouffee is supposedly almost world famous. So I ordered this burger called the Craw Daddy which is a home made burger topped with succulent shrimp and then smothered in their world famous Crawfish Etouffee so much so that they give you a fork for this burger because you will get messy. Let me tell you this thing is just as good as it sounds. Thankful for Google on a whim. What is even better about this place is that they don't do anything fried, (they don't even have French Fries) which is another seller for me. They have tons of options and I am really looking forward to trying other things that they offer. For the food it's definitely a fair price for what you get. The fact that they do not do anything fried should also help sway those that haven't given this place a try. I'm glad I found it and will be back. I highly recommend trying this place out! Also the food came out in less than 10 minutes to go. That's great being as it's not a fast food restaurant.

Just ate there tonight and it was delicious. The Owner and staff were awesome and so nice. I will definitely be going back.

Fabulous crawfish etoffee and the Carmel bread pudding was almost as sweet as the staff. Super cool decor. Great place to chill.

Darwell's was fabulous! We had the crawfish etouffee which was delicious! We loved the live music. Very friendly and attentive staff. And the delightful owner walked through and greeted everyone. We plan to go back to sample more of their menu.

Any meal you get at Darwells is simply devine!!! Wwe have been eating here for about 7 years on our annual trips for crusin the coast and you just can't go wrong with any selection!! Great food, great atmosphere!! Always a fun time!

Atmosphere is great! Seating inside and out doors. Food is delicious! A lot of flavor in everything, different from your average place along the coast.

Best food ever, I can't list just one food as all of it awesome. But thier Yum Yum and Crawdaddy burger is to die for. Great customer service, friendly staff and the best desserts.

I considered not reviewing this place as to keep its glory a secret. However, I decided for the public good it is necessary for the praises of Darewell's Cafe be sung.
I ordered the blackened red fish topped with Crawfish Etouffee. This was as Savory as it was amazing.
I also ordered the crab cake which was fantastic.

Went to vist the USM Gulf Coast Campus and stumbled upon this absolute Gem! Great atmosphere, friendly personable staff, and fantastic food! Will definitely be coming back again next time I am in the area!

If you want to eat something that will make you not want to stop eating, you need to come here. Plus everyone is beyond awesome. I now need a nap.
