While we were visiting downtown Laurel we happened across this place, Cafe LA Fleur. We started with the Duck Wontons with a type of duck sauce and they were fabulous. We both had the side salads, one with Ranch and the other with Thousand Island, their dressings are pretty good. For entrées we had the Canal Chicken and Blackened Chicken with Andouille Sausage and a cream sauce. Both dishes were fantastic, would definitely recommend either, with the Andouille adding a little bit of spicy kick. Their green beans were really good and the dirty rice had just the right amount of heat. Service was also wonderful, would definitely recommend to our friends who are visiting soon.

Beer and dessert only. Beer was priced well. Bread pudding was good but a bit on the greasy side.

Had lunch here today, Wednesday, March 15th.
Had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a table.
Ordered the turkey club with a side of fruit.
Restaurant is nice, friendly staff and quick service.
You won’t be disappointed!

I wish I could say how good the food was but after we were sat, we were ignored by three different waitresses steadily walking by us who were attending tables that were sat long after us. We finally decided to leave and we weren’t even acknowledged by the hostess on the way out.

Visited over the weekend. I don't usually post reviews, but the ones I read about this place when we were trying to find something while visiting Laurel were nothing we experienced. Place wasn't busy, but service was slow. The mixed ravioli was decent, but not hot when it arrived. Shrimp and grits had absolutely NO flavor. Every component of the dish(grits, shrimp, sauce, even the bacon chunks)was bland, bland, bland!!! And I really would have enjoyed at a least a beer! (Water, tea, soft drinks only!!) And for a restaurant to charge you a CC fee....sorry we won't be back. But the décor and history of the building was nice. Lotta potential. Sorry for the harsh feedback....not trying to be rude, just helpful. Maybe it was a bad night!!??

I went here for the first time with a local Laurel friend. She told me about how the old Cafe had burned and that this place was owned by new owners.
The place definitely had a smell of the previous fire. But this did not take away from anything. I think we all enjoy are Food Grilled and even though I had a salad this did not take away from anything. I think it kind of added a little character knowing the history.
Living and dining in Laurel and being keenly aware of the few choices there are in Laurel I think Cafe La Fleur is an excellent option and that everyone should come out and show their support to this new restaurant. Whether you loved it or not previously you should come visit it now. The salad I had was awesome and it is only because I was on a diet that I stuck with the salad the menu was huge and in tiny print it was so big. My only recommendation to the new owners is to expand the hours and add a page to their menu so that the prints can be larger for all of us over 40. They have very little competition for the evening dining crew and they should capitalise on it
I wish that much success and look forward to my reaching my goal weight and enjoying many fine meals in their establishment

Food was excellent, with very large serving sizes. Almost everyone at the table took food to go because of the hefty portions. Service was quality, even though the place was packed. I highly recommend for delicious food, especially the seafood.

It is our favorite place to go for breakfast in Laurel. Excellent food and great service. We have tried several items on the menu and they have all been good. They offer a good selection from chicken and waffles to a yogurt and fruit bowl. My favorite is the Magnolia breakfast, with scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and two pancakes. The meals offer good portion sizes with very reasonable prices. The staff are extremely nice and courteous. I would eat breakfast there every day, if my work schedule allowed for it. Cafe LaFleur is a must stop if you are passing through or visiting Laurel.
Highly recommended.
