Omg, this place is great, so happy we found it the town of Laurel MS. We got fried green tomatoes, sizzling shrimp, and duck wonton....appetizers! For lunch , gumbo, shrimp bisque shrimp and shrimp and grits, and the jalapeños burger......the food was for real good! Highly recommended

It would be negative 5 review if possible. My sisters and I made the trip to Laurel from Texas and Georgia, and Café La Fleur was recommended. The food might have been good if it had been served correct, fresh and on time. We do not know what happened; maybe our order was misplaced/lost and the waitress went with memory to recreate rather than just explaining the delay honestly, but whatever - it was a disaster. People all around us were being seated, served, eating, and departing while we waited. Waitress kept telling it us it was on the way, but when it finally arrived; the steak burger was over cooked, even burned, shrimp on one meal were cold, the crispy chicken salad came with grilled chicken and as she served it she said she had crispy chicken coming, and regular fries were served instead of sweet potato fries. Once the crispy chicken came the rest of us where finished eating.
AND then they started sweeping the floors around us. Totally unacceptable. No apologies, no comp, too bad if you did not like it. Will not return, will not recommend. We do not blame the waitress, we saw how hard working and attentive she was. We simply do not know what happened and no one was interested in explaining either.

First time in Laurel..truthfully, only stopped in because of the show "Home Town"...love the show. The service was excellent, the salad & Roadhouse fries were great, but our entrees were terrible. The blackened Cajun chicken was still raw, literally, raw, the baked potato was more like butter soup, the Cajun pasta was cold when it came, but not bad. They were nice enough to not charge us for the uncooked chicken, especially since I didn't eat anything on my plate.

I went with a dear friend. We both enjoyed our chicken salads 🥗

True authentic Louisiana cooking. Stopped in for lunch on Saturday, and had a great meal, good service and good prices. Married to a Cajun, she tested out the menu and it was true to form. Everything was cooked just right, not so spicy you could not enjoy it.Boudin balls were on point, dirty rice was good, redfish was cooked just right, but holy smokes wait for it: The Au Jus for the french dip, it needs to be on the sides menu. The wife had the French Dip, meat was tender and juicy, but the dip was over the top. She could not get over the dip, our server brought out a second one. If you are in Laurel MS, looking for some Cajun cooking done right, this is the place. Try the Au Jus. Hats off to the cooking staff, y'all nailed it!!!

I have a Seafood allergy, I ordered the Duck Wonton, luckily I asked if they were fried in the same oil as the seafood before I ate them, because they were. OWNER said when things are busy they don't have time to fry separately. A good restaurant always fries separately. Owner was not concerned at all about what could happen to a person with an allergy. On a separate issue I ordered the chicken salad croissants. Not good at all. Was very disappointed we ended up eating at this restaurant .

Nice restaurant with great atmosphere. The food was delicious and our waitress was fantastic. We had a party of eight and they seated us immediately. We will stop here again .

Roadhouse fries, crispy and flavorful. Crispy Sweet Heat Chicken sandwich was all that. Fish tacos were great. Service was amazing even though it was close to closing time. They sat customers until closing time. Great Hometown treatment.

Amazing dinner! The fried green tomatoes were awesome, complete with a crawfish Alfredo. We had the roadhouse chicken, steak Alfredo, and blackened chicken as entrees and each was superb. Topped off with bread pudding and chocolate cheesecake, amazing. The service was flawless. We come through Laurel and stay every year as part of vacation, first time trying Cafe La Fleur and we will absolutely make this part of our annual tradition!
