Blue Heron had been recommended by numerous people and now I understand why! The food was fantastic (I had a vegan soup and salad combo - simple but PERFECTLY done with amazing flavors). Staff was friendly, fun/clean environment, overall pleasant experience. Definitely returning, definitely recommend.

My wife and I stopped in at the Blue Heron after hiking and got a cappuccino, honey latte, and strawberry rhubarb muffin as a treat. The ambience is awesome and the drinks were also top notch. I liked that everything we served in porcelain cups and dishes. I would recommend!

We were both very pleased with the meal. Braised beef chili and butternut squash kale salad and SW Turkey sandwich.

Ashley Peters

Great food, good selection of hot drinks, and wonderful atmosphere.

Some of the tastiest food and coffee in Winona, with friendly service, in a beautiful space.

There are lots of tables and booths, and a great rotating selection of art in the walls (most for purchase!)

I love the curried chicken salad sandwich (my only complaint is it’s not a permanent menu item) and the butternut kale salad. OH and the panzanella they served last summer. Much nicer than you might expect from a “café”.

I wish they were open every day and later in the day, but either way I am grateful they bounced back after the 2020 lockdown. . .

We went here and we're welcomed promptly. The cashier was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. He suggested the Ethiopian coffee, which was very good. It was a lighter tasting coffee labelled as medium.
We ordered the rhubarb lemonade, which they make a concentrate for.
We also ordered the szechuan noodles. Very tasty! And beautifully presented.
The place was clean and low-key, which I prefer for a coffee spot. And they sell local artists work!!! ❤️

The food had so much flavor. I enjoyed the big windows. The staff was cheerful and inviting. A very warm feeling.

Relaxed interior, my Americano was enjoyable. A little crowded & felt like a restaurant rather than a traditional coffee shop. Otherwise, I love their sustainability statement & their efforts to support bio-diversity & locally sourced ingredients choices!

It's a very nice environment and the chicken salad sandwich was SO GOOD. I've also been told they have some of the best coffee in town, if you're a coffee enthusiast. Fairly unassuming from the outside, but definitely worth the visit!
