I've always had a friendly experience in kunnaris. The food has always been good too. The price has never really been a concern to me as it seems plenty fair. My only complaint is they seem to not be able to figure out how to pick up the phone. Id hate to give a negative review but Ive called multiple mornings at 8 a.m. to place pick up orders and they just let the phone ring off the hook. I've actually been in there when the employees have said don't answer that.??? Then why have a phone at all? Eventually I'm just going to quit patronage all together. It has more negative effect than they might think.

Me and my friend were looking for a place to eat on the way back from Voyageurs National Park, and we decided to call ahead to place an order because of the charming pictures and good reviews. We called four times but the call wasn't answered, so we decided to drive directly to the restaurant.
We walked in: the place looked cozy, and the staff were friendly. The coffee and pecan pie hit the spot, only slightly undercut by a man in the kitchen reaching into snack with his bare hands from the ingredient tubs. However, it was when our entrees arrived that it became clear we should have saved $20 and gone to Arby's instead.
The BBQ chicken sandwich was pale, soggy and missing its namesake ingredient: barbecue sauce. (The sauce would have worked to Kunnari's advantage by covering up the hair we found in it shortly after). The chicken ciabatta was so dry I had trouble swallowing it. We doused both in hot sauce and ketchup and mustard to give them flavor. It didn't work. And when it came to the fries, nothing we did could breathe new life into their flaccid form and forlorn flavor, undoubtedly a result of having last encountered hot oil unknown hours earlier.
In sum, come for the coffee, leave before lunch.

Great place to eat as well as get seasonal gifts. Very popular amongst the people who live nearby. Always good service.

This place is amazing! The restaurant is really cute and really clean. Their food has local and fresh ingredients and they have a wide variety of options on their menu. I ordered their Grown Up Grilled Cheese and it was delicious! You could tell that they used fresh-baked bread and it was perfect. The prices are very affordable. Their baked goods also looked amazing and plan on coming back tomorrow morning for a coffee and a treat. Would definitely recommend coming here, and I wished I lived closer so I could come here more often!

This restaurant is by far one of the best places in the area! The food speaks for itself with the freshest ingredients, but also the atmosphere and service are incredible. The family that owns the business as well as the rest of the team is comprised of the most genuine individuals that give above and beyond customer service to each customer. They are continuously striving to set themselves apart with the “extra” touch, including the occasional date nights that are planned…AMAZING! Thank you for offering great food AND amazing service!

Excellent food, wonderful espresso drinks, friendly service. The sausage tastes homemade and I know the cardamom bread is homemade. They have gluten-free bread and muffins. They give you their strawberry rhubarb jam with your toast and it's amazing. Seriously, you have GOT to try this place!

Fantastic coffee! Very good food, free wifi. Farmhouse, shabby sheik with an industrial feel.

I have enjoyed several meals here mostly for lunchtime. Staff is kind and patient & GREAT GYROS!! Only once was the meat burned black and dry, but the owner's daughter corrected this once she was made aware.
Awesome fruit/veggie stand as well as little souviner store/shop. Great for gifts year-round!!

I love this place! A hidden gem on the iron range, I’ve never been disappointed. Great service, and amazing food. The salads are awesome! I also have to get the white chocolate raspberry mocha every time, love it!

Fresh, local food. Incredibly good salads and sandwiches. I haven't tried their baked goods, but they look delicious. I love to swing through and pick up a loaf of cranberry wild rice bread from the market when I can. I only wish they were open Sundays for those of us passing through on weekends.
