Vanilla Bean - Two Harbors

Amazing food! The best breakfast we have ever had. Two of us got the biscuits and gravy which were to die for. The vegetarian omelette with wild rice was great! And the coffee was perfect. And to top of off they have outdoor seating if you’d like. We’ll be back every trip!

The tables were way too close to each other, I could feel the heat from the man sitting behind me. I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was mediocre at best. The whole experience at Vanilla Bean was disappointing.

Really good, huge portions reasonably priced. Had 6 in our group, we all had different meals and all were delicious. Going back for sure.

Very good breakfast place. Whole family liked it and service was excellent.

Menu is creative, food was good. Breakfast sausage tasted more like italian sausage- not my jam. I hate fennel so this was a turn off. My bread pudding wasn't hot at all. They were clean and safe but staff could have helped a bit with our waitress, as she was doing more that possible and still find attentive service. The Castle Danger hash was amazing. Eggs well cooked. Coffee was too strong, fresh but overly strong.

Despite all the other happy customers, I didn't feel the love. Three of us went yesterday for lunch. The staff seemed overwhelmed. We (and table next to us) didn't get silverware until asked, my burger was very undercooked, and our two orders of fries were not edible they were so undercooked in not-hot-enough oil. It seemed like they were boiled instead of fried. I noticed the underdone burger right away, which the waitress did offer to fix. But we hadn't had a chance to try the fries yet, and they were much worse. Didn't see the waitress again until we got the bill. We told her about the fries we didn't eat and got "I'm sorry". I was sorry too. Sorry I tried Vanilla Bean.

It's clear I didn't just have a poorly trained server. Ownership also considers a simple apology to be an adequate response to a completely botched meal. Good to know. And "return for a second try"? Seriously?

Catered our wedding (with an off-menu item no less, waffles and chicken), and every dining in experience has been very good. Super friendly staff, high quality and filling food every single time. Great portions for the price. Always very satisfied coming here, and a highlight of our trips.

Stopped in for a quick bite with Goldwing friends. Had the Walleye Cakes and was not disappointed. The side fries left a bit to be desired, but a cup of ranch made them passable. The service was exactly what you'd expect from an established tourist destination, friendly and fairly timely. Would definitely visit here again.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way home from the North Shore. I was excited to see they had some great menu choices as well as espresso drinks! I had the crepe and it was delicious. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well, and our service was great! Our espresso drinks were not great, they were very weak tasting. Added another shot of espresso hoping that would help, but it did not. Overall I definitely recommend this cute little place!

Great espresso thank you. I come and get lunch here or breakfast every time I'm in town. Their burgers are wonderful and the sweet potato fries. The chef knows how to cook. I ordered the Omelette I did not expect it to look like a huge pancake. But it was okay it was good it was definitely like a egg bake thing. I did not read the menu properly so maybe that's at my end.
