While it has been over a year since my daughter graduated from Carleton College, it's always a thrill to stop in at Little Joy Coffee when visiting cozy Northfield. Love the Scandinavian ambiance, great coffee, bakery treats and friendly staff. Check it out!

First time in Northfield. So glad I found this place. Wonderful latte with a good atmosphere. Will definitely come back again next time. Also getting the beans from Groundwire to take home!

One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. Nice college coffee shop vibe situated right near all the local Northfield shops. Highly recommend!

Found this cute little coffee shop while walking down the street. Looked awesome so bc we went in. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had pastry and coffee both were outstanding. The atmosphere was very relaxing and small town vibe. Very clean as well. This is a definite go back to when in Northfield.

On the way down to Iowa I decided to stop in Northfield for a coffee, and found myself at Little Joy Coffee... and what a joy that was!
For someone who takes little joy (I can't stop myself with this pun) in mornings, this place was a wonderful! If I was a local college student you wouldn't be able to keep me away. The lighting alone in this place was great!
Seating: Numerous tables, booths, bar spots. Good selection.
Coffee: They had lots of fun flavors. I got the Spring Fling (espresso, lavender infused honey, pink salt, milk), but the Fizzy McGuire (matcha, fresh Cara Cara orange juice, pandan simple syrup, topo chico) and Salted Lavender Coldfoam both sounded really yummy and unique as well.
Food: I can only speak to the morning bun, but what a morning bun it was. Delicious! There was some orange zest in it that really set it a part from other morning buns I've tried.
Parking: On the street out front.
All in all, great first experience at Little Joy Coffee. I can't wait to go back! I saw pictures of poptarts online, so maybe I'll try one of those next time!
Parking: On the street out front
P.s. I'll post pictures later. Apparently the awesomeness of Little Joy Coffee is too much for the Radisson wifi to handle.

Great little cafe. Decent amount of seating including out back. Everything on the menu is a great price, espresso was really good (got an iced americano) and cold brew was perfect (not too strong/weak). Definitely will be our stop when in Northfield.

Great coffee and friendly atmosphere. I was surprised how busy it was especially with so many other coffee shops in town but obviously people like it.

Follow this shop on Instagram and they posted $1dollar donuts today, so my husband and I went over for a Mocha and donut and love it! Girl behind counter very nice and bubbly. Great place to go and hang out, but we couldn't because there were no empty booths. Very busy!!

This is a fantastic little coffee shop run by the lovely folks at Groundwire roasters, selling the best of coffees that Northfield has to offer. (I'm not kidding!) Lots of great seating options, including of course the outdoor seating if you're into that kind of thing. The space has a really nice modern feel to it, and the baristas know their stuff. They also have some really nice coldbrew options.

This place is such a gem. Hard to say what I like best about this place. My husband and I were able to go on weekly dates during the summer and this was always our first stop. The drinks are amazing. The atmosphere and so chill and inclusive. And the people who work here are seriously so wonderful. If you want to geek out and ask obscure questions about coffee (like the evolution of Ethiopia's flavor profile) or want to unravel the menu a little more, these humans are the best. Oh and if you forget headphones, no biggie, because the music is always spot on.
