Very cute converted historic house. The food we got was very taste but both me and the person I was with got stomach aches after eating here. The waitress was very nice and we sat in the sunroom area. There was a limited amount of patio seating that would be great on a day with less wind.

What a cute place! We have been driving by for years and have never had the chance to stop. Today we were able and we are so happy we did. Good food, very nice and helpful staff, and the atmosphere is homey and welcoming.

Quaint little Cafe in a cute town outside of the twin cities. Very pleasant folks here and good homemade dishes. Loved the chicken with wild rice soup! They have really good ice cream too!

I had the chicken wild rice soup and my brother had the BTL sandwich and my mom had there Swedish pancakes. Such wonderful food and great waitresses ❤ We will come here again. First time eating here.

I've had a few sandwiches here and they are all great. We've ordered lunch for a small team from here as well and everyone enjoyed what they had.
I recommend the Gustaf Melt (turkey, bacon cheese, tomato on their signature bread). Best eaten hot, so keep that in mind if getting take-away.

Stopped for Sunday lunch and we liked the general atmosphere and decor as well as the tasty food! I had a melt on wild rice cranberry bread with a bowl of chicken wild rice soup (impressively huge bowl!) and I can't remember what the others ate but it was all good. We even brought home a slice of the homemade apple pie. Yummy and we'll be back.

I attended a tea party here recently, food was tasty, as well as a very good variety of finger sandwiches, and delicious tomato soup. The young gentleman waiting on us did a fantastic job, and for his first day! The issue I have is with the woman telling each of us as we paid that "gratuity is expected". This comment altered my experience, which up to that point had been good. A business should never say "gratuity is expected", but rather gratuity is appreciated. I even overheard her say to a customer, "20% is the usual amount". Shame on you for asking/expecting more, while really you should be grateful for each customer that walks through your door each day, and appreciate what they can afford to give based on service.
In response to your comments regarding my review:
We were fully aware of the cost per person and that gratuity would be our responsibility. There was never a misunderstanding on this. Like I said in my review, my issue was with how it was addressed to each customer. In my opinion it is highly unprofessional to tell a customer "gratuity is expected". Everyone that has ever eaten out obviously knows what gratuity is and should be allowed to decide on their own if they want to tip, can afford to tip or feel the service deserves a tip. Instead you could say "gratuity is appreciated" with a smile, which is a much friendlier statement, and would probably be received better. Remember gratuity is not a mandatory payment, it is optional, no matter what you expect.

Great place for breakfast! Ordered the Lindstrom, a very hearty breakfast

Located in an old family house with all of the charm it once held for it's residents on display for guests, Gustaf's is a cute little "coffee shop+" along the main drag of Lindstrom.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful, and the food/drinks quality in sourcing and preparation.
The parking lot is out back, and the rear door was locked, which would have been hard on the elderly members of our party, but the staff were friendly and let us use the rear door.
