Always been one of my favorite places to eat. Today the food was barely warm and some bites were cool. we got a 50% discount but still paying for food we didn't eat. Never got my $3 milk and had to ask to have that removed. Water glass went dry and no refills coming. Only two other tables with people in the place so it was basically just sorry cooking and sorry service.

Food lacked any flavor...very bland. service was mediocre. they need to close off the kitchen....watching staff empty grease buckets and play on there phone was not appetizing. But a great location.

Food was good. Had a Swedish pancake breakfast. Place is small and older but tables were available with no wait. Service was pretty decent until check time came. Waitress spent plenty of time discussing her personal life with another table, making us wait. Probably cost them a start in my rating.

A good lunch spot! I hear breakfast is amazing so I'll have to try that next time. The sandwich was good. The iced tea wasn't very good though. We went for breakfast the next day and it was so good!!! I ordered Just for fun and it was delicious!!! Pretty spot on lake superior.

Loved it! Perfect breakfast spot, with breakfast served all day. Great hash browns and omelette with wild rice was excellent. Lovely staff too!

Good small town American fare. The kids menu was a nice selection of kid friendly food and good portions. The burgers we had were cooked well and decent flavor. I liked the option of poutine as a side.

Having just finishing our 7 day BWCA wilderness canoe trip, my son and I stopped here on the way out of the Gunflint.

We had eaten here before for lunch, which I remember being nothing special to write home about. Evidently breakfast is taken more seriously here!

It was about 10am when we got there. We were relieved to see they serve breakfast all day! Having been in survival mode for the previous 7 days, we were looking forward to big flavors and good portions. Blue Water Cafe didn't disappoint.

Very busy even at 10am with all tables full when we got there. My son spied 2 seats at the small counter where their registers are located, so we too them. Our waiter was a young Romanian guys (sorry for forgetting his name) and he got us drinks and menus right away. We have had other foreign staff serve us here so we were thinking they might be exchange students or something. At any rate, super nice kid!

I ordered eggs Benedict with hash browns, while my son got french toast. Everything was great - taste, temperature, portion size. Waiter was great too! Great place for breakfast!

Delicious! Really good lunch spot. Burgers were half off on Tuesday, not sure if that's a regular special. There was a kid menu for $3.50 that had a plateful of food--see pics of the Lil Fisherman & Lil Swede. This restaurant has the best value for food in Grand Marais. Tables were almost full on a Tues at 1pm. Staff was very friendly and hard working. Definitely coming back.

Food was mediocre... My chicken fried steak was served without the gravy, the broasted chicken was served still completely raw and the by the time the properly cooked piece was bright to our table I was long finished with my food. Wait staff was not very attentive and we had to flag them down about the raw chicken because they never returned to our table to see how things were and/or if we needed another beverage or anything else.
