Love the changes that have been made. Food was ok. Service was excellent

I love this place. Having grown up in the area I have a soft spot for it. Service is always a bit slow, but it's worth it. Always great food and friendly service. There's a reason it's been open so long in a town of 80. Stop by if you're passing through. You won't regret it. Have a Jake special.

Felt like an outcast here because I normally don't come to this restaurant and the food felt like no effort was put into making it it

Breakfast is awesome and the pancakes are huge and it has cheap prices. The only thing that isn't fantastic would be there coffee is really weak and just not very good.

We've been here 4 times under the newest ownership, food is Fantastic! Can't wait to see the finished touches to the remodeling. Cooks & waitresses are Super! Thank You!

The food was very good but we waited 1 hour before we got our food to long of a wait and we walk in got our drinks we were ready to order some one else walks in and she takes there order before ours by the time we got our order my Pepsi was water it was a hour of setting for food.

Stopped in at about 1:30 on a Monday afternoon expecting to have missed the lunch crowd. The place was about 75% full surprisingly. We were waited on quickly enough, both ordering off the all day breakfast menu. Sadly, we waited 55 minutes for our meals to arrive. The food was pretty good, but the long wait was borderline excruciating. Based upon our experience we will likely not go back.

On our way out to Ely, I convinced my girlfriend and my brother to hold off on lunch for the Effie Cafe. I had eaten here last summer and really enjoyed it, and this visit was even better! We were ravenous, and the food was amazing. The prices are unbeatable. The breakfast is cooked up with love. Also, try the small pancake for a side, you won't be disappointed. Everything I've tried is delicious and whenever I'm in the area, I will continue to make a point to stop.
