My family and I have been coming here for years. Hands down the best food and best service! You must try it, you won't be disappointed. Did I mention the killer bloody mary's...

The chicken and waffle breakfast is to die for!! The brunch drinks are amazing, staff is great, food was absolutely scrumptious, and overall a wonderful experience!! The food was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. And the staff was the perfect combination of friendly, helpful, and attentive. We went back every morning during our trip to South Haven!

food was great but the servers and host very poor customer service.
The waitress came to the table once to get our drink order, delivered it and then took our order. Another person delivered the food to the table and started auctioning it off. Then asked if we needed anything else, we said silverware.
She said they ran out and we would have to eat with our hands. Then a bus boy came over a few minutes later with a handful of forks, knives and napkins and plopped them down on the table and said they were all out of rolled silverware so here. Then another bus boy came over toward the end of our meal to ask if everything was OK and if we needed any drink refills. We only saw the waitress at the very end when she dropped of the bill.
We usually tip big if the service was worth it but did not this time due to the rude comments and lack of service.
On leaving we mistakenly took the signed portion of the check and not the copy.
One waitress asked if we forgot it and yes we did and gave it to her and she voiced her opinion on the tip loudly to the original server. Who ended up argueing thier lack of customer service to our group, and rude comments. The server ended up telling us to never come back while standing at the back door of the restaurant. And then yelled it across the parking lot as we walked to our car.
So for those reasons, that were uncalled for, We will most likely not return to this poorly run business where employees are allowed to be rude to the customers.

Phenomenal food and service. Ramona J was our server and she was beyond friendly and helpful. My best friend and I couldn’t decide what meal sounded better between the B(E)LT and the French Toast, so we got both and shared. Both excellent choices! We also got the Irish Coffee, Iced. SO good! Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had since we’ve been visiting South Haven. We recommend this place for sure!

What a hidden gem in a great little town! Traditional cafe food with some unique surprises on the menu. Everything was so good and the service was friendly and very attentive!

Judging by the reviews, I must be the exception. But I'm compelled to share my experience. I waited at my table for over 15 minutes without so much as a good morning from the staff. The assumption may be they were busy, but I watched as the younger people stood around and behind the counter as a more experienced lady served her area very well (a testimony to her generation.) I thought maybe I did something wrong, but nobody said anything so I just keep sitting there. I decided to leave when I watch a young man rush to the door to seat a couple and immediately get them silverware and menus. I walked to the Golden brown bakery and had food sitting in front of me within 10 minutes of sitting down.

Visiting from out of town and happen to choose this place for brunch and so happy we did. Had the cinnamon pancakes and gyro omelet - both were so good!! Confidently can say the pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend getting breakfast here!

Great food and excellent service! The servers are very friendly and joke with the patrons which creates a very fun and light atmosphere. Food was amazing and this is the first place I have found with high quality Bacon. Thanks!

I've come here for years for the oatmeal pancakes, the other items are pretty standard breakfast fare. The oatmeal cakes are moist and tender, have a unique texture even for oatmeal pancakes, and are filling enough to last 2-3 meals. Butter and syrup recommended because they're not strongly flavored. Bacon's too tough for my tastes, but that always comes down to personal preference.
Unfortunately the service can be spotty even on quieter days.
