The good news: the iced almond milk lattes were really good!
The bad news: both breakfast sandwiches were horrible. Didn't even finish them. I don't mind paying$30 for 2 coffees & 2 sandwiches in a location like this, but I at least expect the food to be good. The ham & Gouda was premade in a case and warmed up and the egg & sausage English muffin was VERY dry.
We were disappointed! Would come back for coffees but not for food.

Just had THE BEST muffin of my life. Big Blueberry Streusel muffin that was nice and gooey and crispy and absolutely delicious. Pair that with a nice dark black coffee and jazz at Oval Beach and my day is complete. At 9 AM. Thank you Uncommon Coffee, keep it up! :)

I went over to get coffee to go on a rainy morning. Having looked at the menu ahead of time, and seeing they had pour-over and French press options, I tried to order ahead, but it was a bit complicated, so I just drove over. The French press didn't take more than 4 minutes, and it was served hot and tasted great. I also ordered a cafe miel which has honey in it, and they offer various milk substitutes of course. While I waited I looked around the shop, which has lots of coffee beans, branded merch, baked goods and other items to buy. They have a covered porch in front to sit, even on a rainy day, and the indoor dining room had about five tables or so as well as a couple stools at a countertop next to a wooden barrel where they place orders to-go. Overall I liked the atmosphere, the service was friendly and the coffee hit the spot.

4th of July morning, very busy which is to be expected. Café miel was very good. Southwestern breakfast sandwich was unremarkable, a little soggy. Ordered a pesto egg sandwich on an everything bagel, got a bagel sandwich with a sausage patty and no pesto…still not sure if I got the right thing or not, it was so busy I didn’t want to stand in line again just to ask if this was really what I ordered. Overall not the 5 star experience I was expecting but still nice. Great outdoor seating area is a huge plus.

First of all...full transparency this review is for their whole bean coffee only. I actually live in another state. My sister sent me four bags of coffee from Uncommon Coffee Roasters. All whole bean. I will update this review as I try the other blends. First of all, their packaging is great. The bags are really eye catching. The zip pull opener pulled off clean and the bag resealed well. Easy to find "Roasted On" date. The first one I am trying (literally as I write this review) is the Barrel Aged Series. Whiskey Barrell Aged Cider Medium Roast Colombia. Again full transparency. I used a Breville Conical Burr Grinder at a pretty standard setting for drip coffee makers. Then a Technivorm Single Cup coffee maker with an oxygen bleached filter. Yes I confess I am seriously searching for the perfect cup of coffee at home...lol. I did not weigh the grinds or measure the water. Just added water up to the line and then then two level scoops of coffee. The aroma is incredible. Slightly fruity with a hint of smoke, and the slightest hint of whiskey. The taste is mind blowing. hints of fruit, whiskey, smoke and acid come together and create this velvety smooth, well balanced cup of coffee. Ok I'm a big fan just based on this one cup. I will update this review as I try each bag. But I am expecting them all to be like this. Coffee like this is not a fluke. This is skill and precision roasting.

Meh…the almond milk latte was good albeit a little overpriced. The muffin was excellent! The southwestern breakfast sandwich was unexceptional and overpriced. We also got oatmeal which was fine but nothing to write home about.

Stopped in to try their coffee based on good reviews and was incredibly disappointed. I wanted drip coffee but all that was available was dark roast, so the cashier suggested they could do pour over or French press which I appreciated. I asked what the difference was and was told it just means made by hand. Now I've never had French press so I can't compare it to anything but it was disgusting; tasted like drinking sand mixed with water. I didn't realize that I could have a texture issue drinking coffee but each sip tasted like coffee grounds were catching in my throat. 0/10 would never purchase coffee like that again. If that's normal for French press maybe warning people used to drip would be nice, or using a more course grind to avoid the residue in the coffee? Either way really disappointing to spend almost $5 and want to spit it out on the first sip.

Coffee is outstanding. Breads and muffins are moist. Chicken salad (when available) is to die for. Wait is long though, but worth it. Just be patient and kind and chat with the other people in line. If you order ahead online, be mindful that the order may be cancelled if they don't respond within 5 minutes of they are swamped.
