The drinks were great and the baristas were really friendly. Got coffee from several coffee houses in the northern Michigan area and this was the best by far!

extremely low selection on baked goods. croissants were kind of good, but under proofed and too high temp in the oven, raw in the middle. the single origin coffee tasted like a fig newton, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but a little overwhelming. vegan cookie was alllllright.
hey, i'm not out here to hate, just trying to make the world a better place.

Very good coffee and a peaceful coffeeshop to sit or get work done.

Very good coffee drinks with cozy seating. Excellent peanut butter cookies and layer bars. Yum!

Great coffee and pastries. Lively spot with students studying and people working.

Wonderful coffee, daily baked goods that are truly fantastic and served by the friendliest barista out there. This place is a winner.

I grew up in this little town and now, as I come home for Holidays, this is the one stop I will not miss.
Prices may be a little higher than some of the surrounding shops, but you pay for quality, and at Dripworks, the quality of their pastries, homemade every day, and their coffee, which the menu has been adapted to serve us better.
This is a business that does everything to make sure the customer is having the best experience, and is tailored to their needs.
Family business that treats their staff and customers like family. Family is priceless.

I was so happy to hear that Populace was opening up again. IMO best speciality coffee option in Petoskey for homemade, quality ingredients. All their syrups are homemade and they have seasonal specials, which I always look for in a coffee shop. They do have a limited menu but have all the essentials. Their almond, lavender, and caramel lattes are all very good! There are some food options from local companies as well(although not as extensive as previously). All the baristas are friendly.

Anybody who leaves a poor rating for this place - you need to take a moment to pause and reflect on whether you bring enough experience to the table to make an informed opinion that's worthy of other's time. This place is FANTASTIC.
They have state of the art equipment making incredible coffee experiences that I'd travel out of my way every day for if I were lucky enough to live up here. Their new cold brew setup has incredible results you have to try, and their pour-overs and lattes are lovely. The workers are not to be looked over either, brimming with knowledge and hospitality.
If you want the very best coffee this side of the state, look no further!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered an Americano, very smooth, great flavor, not too bitter. If you want non-dairy adds, they have oat milk and almond milk. The GF chocolate maple donut was very good, and I'm happy to see at least a couple gluten free options available at all. Bakery items are somewhat pricey. Regarding service, when your drink is ready, they'll bring it out to you - sit in or carry out, your choice. Atmosphere is very comfortable, modern, love the hardwood and wood accents. Will come back.
