House of Love
Great, relaxed hang out spot with lots of unique personality and excellent food. I love the selection of books and art to peruse.

Traveled here from Ohio, and had one of the most wonderful experiences at this cafe and bookstore. Courtney was a fantastic representation of what an employee should be. She was very personable, kind, funny, and a wonderful person to get a little bit of time to meet. Incredibly helpful and doing so many things at one time all the while making everything work seamlessly. Absolutely a living light in this world. Cloey was an absolute delight and so kind and welcoming. They absolutely make the atmosphere of this cafe The place I would come to time and time again on my trips to Northern Michigan.

My wife is an avid coffee drinker which is what brought us to this restaurant. It’s a quaint and quirky little place that serves everything from coffee to ice cream to simple sandwiches. We ended up buying quite a bit of whole bean coffee to take with us. We also got coffee to drink as well as open face white fish sandwiches. They were very expensive but they were also very good. I would caution the employees to warn people that the white fish sandwich is actually open face so there are actually two sandwiches on the same plate. My wife and I really would’ve preferred only have one of each of those. Aside from that, the employees were wonderful and it was overall a very enjoyable experience. Well worth a visit

Loved, loved, loved! Such a cozy, welcoming environment. Great service, good food, good coffee drinks, facilities were clean, gift shop full of interesting finds. Highly recommend! Wish I could stop by daily.

Great place for hangout. Great atmosphere with books and games for fun. The food is not that great though

Terrible been here three times awful every time 17.50 for two cups of coffee that were atrocious and tasted like chemicals. Bought there grilled cheese last time with pesto on it, it was bitter and nasty aswel. Three strikes you’re out 10/10 would not recommend and if it weren’t for the tourists you wouldn’t be in buisness.

Groovy coffee, cafe, library, and local goods shop. Lots of table games to play. They're open with precautions for Covid-19 and the parking lot on the side of the building is still accessible during road construction. Great find!

Extremely friendly staff. Grilled veggie hummus sandwich tasted AMAZING. They also had the best birthday cake flavored ice cream. Would highly recommend and go back there.

Tasty food and drinks (mostly coffee and breakfast sandwiches - not sit-down service), friendly staff, a decent selection of board games to play, used and new books, and local art for sale. An enjoyable place to spend some time. Ate there with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a baby.

What a delightful find! Great coffee. Breakfast all day. Sammies and soups. Buy books, art, and support the local economy! Very comfy and welcoming. Clean and well kept.
