Black Cat Coffee

I think this may be my favorite coffee shop ambiance… ever? It has tables and outlets to work at that are classy marble, easy chairs to read in or just relax, and a large table to work at if you’re with a group. And did I mention the classy as heck crystal chandeliers hanging from the ornate metal ceiling? I can’t vouch personally for their coffee, because I’m caffeine sensitive, but their list of different flavors made me want to take a risk anyway haha. But their lavender lemonade was phenomenal! And they were ever-so-gracious about me having a bunch of bags for my trip. Overall, an incredibly zen space to enjoy a hot (or cold) drink and do a little work if you have some time to sit down.

Visited Black Cat Coffee the day before Easter and I really enjoyed my time there. The staff was helpful and nice. My girlfriend and I ordered our drinks and we sat and read for about an hour. Grabbed some pastries from next door as well. Definitely a cool place with a great vibe.

Great coffee shop! Cool atmosphere and great place to meet friends and hang out! Will definitely be back soon.

I had the Nitro Cold Brew Hazelnut Lepord and it was amazing! My new favorite coffee drink!

Long review but seriously do yourself a favor and go to Black Cat for coffee. Not only will you get THE BEST coffee, but you will also support a small business.

I started going to Black Cat shortly after they opened, but kept meaning to leave a review and now it's time. There are so many positive things I can say about this coffee ship and virtually no negatives. The decor and atmosphere make for a very relaxing experience if you are staying in. There is just something about being in there that makes you feel relaxed and it's a perfect place to hang out with someone, to study, or get your creative juices flowing like their amazing coffee.

Now their coffee is by far the best coffee I've ever had. I typically get the pumpkin praline latte and while I'm not normally a pumpkin spice girl, I can't help but go to this drink year round. You don't get that thick syrup mouth feel that you get at standard franchise coffee shops. The lattes here are seriously as smooth as velvet and taste like heaven.

Now, what else could make a coffee shop so perfect aside from amazing coffee and a great atmosphere? The staff and baristas. The staff here is always welcoming and make you feel like you are family and I mean they are responsible for the heavenly coffee that is made here. These employees need to seriously write manuals on how to be a perfect employee.

Even though it may cost more than the franchise chains, it is so worth the extra money and I will always come back. Even my husband who is not a big coffee drinker raves and talks for days after getting coffee about how amazing they are.

Super friendly staff that guides you through the menu of so many fresh brewed tea options. They make any of them iced, which we highly recommend. My husband loves their coffee, and their gift cards make great teacher gifts! My kids love the iced teas. They prefer the raspberry tea w their homemade simple syrup. While I prefer the pomegranate oolong with a splash of lemonade with a Lil lavender. So light and refreshing!! Great place to study, write, or work from a laptop.

I’m pretty sure the only other time the baristas knew how to mix flavors in the perfect combination like they do at Black Cat Coffee was when I was in Europe. Don’t know what you want? Ask them for a recommendation, and they will design your new way to experience coffee drinking. I’m a big fan, and you must come and experience it for yourself!!!

It has become a routine--coming here for an iced cafe miel and get some work done. Bella is the absolute best barista, she nails the drink EVERY.TIME, and just the sweetest human being, I always get special treat from her--a cute little bee drawn on my cup, something you can only get from a local coffee shop. Good music, plenty of spaces to sit down and enjoy. This place is downtown Mt.Clemens treasure!

I love any place with a lavender latte. The vibe is cool in here. You could work or hangout if you wanted. Just stopping by this time.

After seeing some other reviews, I wanna say that every worker here has been super kind and talkative, even going so far as to recommend me some delicious drinks. And some seem more shy than unfriendly.

This place is super relaxing. Inside is super pretty, they did a wonderful job, but something about it feels a little missing? Like a personal touch? Very modern. Otherwise, drinks are delicious, there's WiFi if you need it and they do carry some snacks. The prices are extremely similar to Starbucks but better to support local businesses. Go check out Black Cat! I'm gonna be going way more often now.

The lavender lemonade is to die for.

Hands down some of the best chai I’ve ever had!! They have all of the milk alternatives available and make their syrups in house! You can tell they truly care about the quality of their products, my favorite coffee shop to go to in the area :)
