Great food beautiful location. First, the view from the restaurant is breathtaking. Green bay and a public marina are literally across the street. There is outdoor seating and large windows inside the restaurant. The staff are very friendly. The coffee was beyond excellent. I was expecting plain ole coffee, didn't realize espresso drinks were available. It was a pleasant surprise. Diverse breakfast menu, everyone in my group found something they all enjoyed. I had the Greek omelette, I highly recommend it.

I have celiac disease. They took great care to make sure my meal was gf and no cross contamination. Thanks to all the staff. Cook had just been trained about cc. Gary was very careful and made a fresh batch of kettle chips for me. Great allergy awareness.

Has a terrific breakfast here on the porch recently while passing through town during the Hook sailboat race. Great food, service and ambiance. We did not have far to go to find a nice meal in Menomonie!

The scrambled eggs were super light and fluffy accompanied by thick sourdough toast. I like extra crispy bacon so I would have liked it stayed on the griddle a bit longer, but that was my personal taste.

Very nice friendly employees. Daily specials. Specialty desserts which seem limited but understandable at this time. Good food. Prices on coffee drinks have increased.

This is a must if you're in town. If I'm in the area I have to stop in. Awesome food, coffee, specials, atmosphere and a great staff with amazing cooks! It's hard to beat a place like this. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. All around fantastic. 👍

My wife and I tried the sourdough French toast and eggs Benedict. Both were delicious and so were their latte, chai, and scones. Service was fast despite being fairly busy. Off street parking is limited.

While many locals and tourists enjoy The Serving Spoon, I can't figure out what the fuss is about. Apart from the desserts and pastry, the food is kinda meh, and in my handful of visits, I've never had above average service.
In fact, there seems to be a recurring issue with professionalism and respect between ownership, management, and staff. In one visit, a manager gave a server a hard time over a mixed-up drink order while on the floor. That put the guests in an uncomfortable position.
Another time, we were sat, given the breakfast menu, our drink orders were taken (coffee and hot chocolate), and when the drinks came, we ordered breakfast. Our server took in the order. 5 minutes later, our server re-appeared with new menus and explained to us that the kitchen was no longer serving breakfast. We paid for our drinks and left and neither staff nor management apologized for the mistake. That made us feel invisible.
There are very solid alternatives for desserts and pastries starting to pop up in Marinette and Menominee, as well as other places that serve similar fare. The Serving Spoon has underwhelmed me one time too many to warrant a future visit unless my arm is twisted.

The food was very good. The service, not so much. It wasn't terrible, but just a few things that made it not great. We would go back, there are a few other things on the menu. I'd like to try.
