Let me begin by saying that I grew up in the Keweenaw, and I remember coming here in days past and I loved it. The service was great, the food was fantastic. But this last visit left much to be desired. I cannot speak to the current state of the food or beverages, as we didn't even get served. We waited in the entryway, by the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign for a little over 10 minutes. The wait staff and bartender looked at us multiple times with absolutley no acknowledgement. Several other parties came in after us, and one couple even asked us why we were leaving on our way out. Hope their service was better than ours.

Highly recommend dining here. I had the Creamy Dill & Potato soup, dinner salad with House Green Goddess salad dressing and the Cedar Plank Trout. Amazing! Homemade fries and chips are the best I have ever had. Ask for a side of Gimp sauce for a spicy zing.

Fantastic food, Red Jacket beer (which they brew themselves) and over 100 years of history! Atmosphere is awesome, laid back and relaxed setting. Wait staff is great too. The bar is original with a beautiful mural which depicts people enjoying a fun picnic. Bosch Beer emblem at the top of the mural. Just so cool!

Pulled pork is excellent and has Fitzgerald’s in for a running! Home made cheesecake and carrot cake with Keweenaw roasted coffee ☕️.

Very satisfied. We have been here now 4 times during our last 5 years coming up to the Keweenaw yearly.

Hey really good food. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere with HISTORY. I highly recommend. We had two meals and desert. Under $50 with a good tip. Oh and great service. You wont be disappointed. Excellent!!
You may see a lot of the towns folks here at this place.

Beautiful and historic place. Horrible food that took over an hour to get. When I asked what the delay was, the server twice tried to blame us for ordering a well-done burger. An hour. She blamed the customer. If there had been an adult on the premises I would have spoken with them, but instead I give you this.

Pricey. Dated decor. Dusty. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. We were greeted. Wait times are long due to the endemic. We would return.

Best reason to stop here is the building itself. The menu has a fascinating history of the area, and the history of the bar/hotel. The food is pretty standard bar food, nothing to write home about but always good. I always like to sit at the bar area (fun to look around and service is always a little more attentive).

Amazing food and great beer! Place has a lot of character. I have eaten here multiple times over the years and they never disappoint. Also, great food and beer selection! If you are in town, this is a must stop!

Service was good, and our appetizer we ordered was good. But all of the beers were sour, thinking bad tap lines.. specialty cocktail was good, but pricey for the tiny size.

If you appreciate ambiance and love great food then the Michigan House is worth the trip! This is my favorite place in the keweenaw. I love the ambiance and I always enjoy the food. Pescatarians will be happy with the menu. The owners and staff are kind.
