Michigan House Cafe and Brew Pub

It was a great place! The Brews were awesome, the food was great and huge amounts, I took home the other half of my lunch and had a full dinner from it, and I'm not a lite eater!
The atmosphere was full of wonderful history and the service was great!!!
I will go again and I live 2 hours away!
Their handmade fries were amazing. Not a long wait for food, it was hot, fresh and tasty!!!

Food is good, wait staff are friendly and competent, unique historic atmosphere ... Appreciate carrying on the tradition of home-brewed beer, but the beers miss the mark a little.

The french onion soup was the best - great smokey flavor with high quality cheeses baked in on top. The vegetarian options were few, but good (my only qualm but understand I'm in the minority on this one perhaps). Great atmosphere and service. Oh, and great beers on tap too! There were four options and we had three of them . . . all great!

Super old, cozy pub with a fancy dining area on the side. Best burger I've ever had. Fun atmosphere--want to come when the nightlife is there. Great lunch, would definitely recommend. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is incredible.

Traveling through the area and stopped for a beer. Staff was friendly and outgoing. We enjoyed a good laugh when when the men in our party thought we were being led to a room in the back and all we girls wanted to do was go to the bathroom. The hostess actually lost our whole party for a second.

Stopping in our Michigan craft breweries like this I always want to support the "house" and what they have created. Four beers were ordered and no one thought they were stellar at all. I'm sorry you were out of your oatmeal stout.

Called ahead to ensure my large group of 11 could be accommodated. We were promptly seated in a beautiful room at 7:30, however, we waited an hour for any food and it trickled out of the kitchen with various levels of quality. They actually forgot one of our meals and finally served it at the same time as they were giving the rest of us our bill. Oh, they also gave him a full price bill. We heard from others that the dessert was excellent but given our last meal was served at 9:20 (closes at 9) we were not offered an opportunity. Even given a reservation this is not a good choice for a large group.

Nice restaurant and bar combination, serves specialty beers and great food at a decent price. The decor fits the general historical theme of the area, without being tacky. Kind and courteous waitstaff definitely earned their tips!

Chili bowl is always good! It took 15 minutes to get our drinks while other tables got their drinks immediately. Ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was cold and dry. We will only be back but only for the Chili bowls
