Great service and food. Bakery items also really yummy!!

While traveling through Cadillac we decided to stop for breakfast, fortunately, we found The Blue Heron in downtown Cadillac. I ordered their special, steak and eggs with fried potatoes while my wife ordered french toast. One of the best breakfast we had, and Barb our waitress was so friendly, all in all, a great experience.

Really loved their donuts, but they're not doing them anymore. They still have some varieties and cookies and muffins.

We found out about Blue Heron Catering by a Google search. Blue Heron Catering was top notch from the beginning to the end of our wedding process! Julie, was extremely helpful with food choices, a day of timeline, and was quick to respond all throughout the planning process. We chose the beef brisket, pesto chicken, creamed corn, red skin parmesan potatoes, and Michigan salad for our wedding meal. Our guests raved about the food! As the bride, I wish I was able to eat more of the food (such as try the pesto chicken since I never got the chance to).
I would definitely choose Blue Heron to cater another event.

Cute hometown style cafe in downtown that offered a good amount of seating for dining in if desired. That is a plus as they offer a larger menu for breakfast and lunch which includes soups and sandwiches.

We specifically visited for a sweet treat and the bakery didn’t disappoint. Great donut and cookie selection!

Just regular coffee though so don’t plan on any fancy lattes or cappuccinos here.

Blue Heron Caters at the Fox Hill Event Center!!!

If you or any one you know that would be attending your wedding that has any food allergies or any issues with food, DO NOT BOOK!!! I had attending a wedding here and have Celiac Disease, which is an autoimmune disease that when I eat gluten or wheat products my body attacks like it's bad. Sadly this means I get very sick when I have it in my system. I had asked the catering staff which items on the table would be gluten free for me to consume. They had no idea and looked at me like I was crazy, and told me to go ask the wedding coordinator so I did, she also did NOT know, then I had to wait for the coordinator to text someone to get an answer, a few minutes she finally told me everything on the table was gluten free but the bread and Salad crutons, so I said thank you. I filled my plate with food and headed to my table to eat! The lady was giving me very unsure vibes, so I pulled out my Nima Sensor that test food for wheat and gluten and it came back positive!!! I had ate a salad off that same plate and got very sick from it. The staff didn't seem to care about the food coming back positive after telling me it didn't contain gluten. I have now been sick for days and have permanent damage to my small intestine. They didn't even offer for other options at all for me, lucky I had snacks in my car so I could at least eat something. And the bride and groom told the owner of the venue that there will be 3 people that are gluten free attending this event and it never even got passed on to the catering company or the coordinator!! Not impressed, good thing I canceled my wedding here. Don't recommend!

Blue Heron catered my wedding and I can not give this place enough stars! The food was amazing and my guests are still raving about it a week later! The brisket and apple cider pork were a huge hit. The service was top notch which was icing on the cake. I highly recommend them for your wedding needs!

Holy smokes! This place is AMAZING! I’ve visited roughly 10 times, and every single time it exceeds my expectations. The staff are friendly and wonderful, and the food is AWESOME! I recommend the lunch flight, because you get a salad, half a sandwich, a cup of soup, and a cookie for an extremely reasonable price. If you’re on the fence about going, don’t be. It’s delicious and wonderful.

Went for lunch at the Blue Heron. I choose the Reuben sandwich. It comes with chips or slaw on the side. The corned beef was tasty, thick sliced and fall apart tender. It has orange marmalade in addition to kraut, Swiss and russian dressing. The orange at first worried me but one bite and I knew I made a good choice. It was a delicious sandwich. Great service too.

Their donuts are amazing. Lady at the front counter was very nice. I am excited to go back and try more food in the future.
