This place is great and I highly recommend it. I like the format: you order at the counter and pay, wait for a table, and they bring your food to you.
The food is fantastic. They have some really unique choices. The Mediterranean quiche is absolutely incredible.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is clean. The atmosphere is chill and fun; casual. They have rolling doors that open during the nicee weather and outdoor seating.

I visited this place with friends and then again with the family for Mothers Day because I loved the food.
The ambiance is great. You have to tand in line to order first and then get a table.
Both visits, it wasn't super hard to get a table for a party of 8. Great service!
We ordered Farro bowl (LOVEed) Enchilada bowl, Tinga chicken, pan cakes, grilled cheese t soup, Hot chocolates , coffee, etc... everything was delicious!!
The parking structure is very walkable and free on weekends.

I stop by here around once a week, always helpful customer service. Delicious and beautifully designed lattes that never come without art. An extensive and very healthy menu, and great atmosphere. Also, really nice in the summertime when the windows are open! Pictures are from a few different visits, including yesterday!

I recently visited Commonwealth in Birmingham, Michigan and was impressed. I had the tandoori chicken wrap and really liked the flavors. The wrap was served with a side of fresh greens and tasty shallot vinaigrette.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Commonwealth was the cozy, inviting, and unique atmosphere. The restaurant was filled with plants and a couple trees, which added to the warm and welcoming vibe. The staff was also friendly and attentive.
Another plus was the quick service. Despite the restaurant being busy, my food was brought out to me in a timely manner.
Overall, I highly recommend Commonwealth for anyone looking for a tasty and convenient dining experience in Birmingham, Michigan.

the French toast was life changing!! The hot chocolate was pretty and delicious. Got the avocado toast, poached eggs with sourdough and side salad. Would get everything again!!

I've been here many times and Commonwealth never disapoints... We had the shitake omlette, avacado toast and a fried egg sandwich w/sausage. They are always fast, friendly and delicious!!! It's a unique experience and menu and I look forward to continuing my adventure through their menu. 😋

The BEST latte.
I’ve been thinking of starting a “best of” list. Commonwealth wins for the best lattes. I really enjoy a non-acidic / not bitter espresso, which can be found all over the west coast and seemingly NOWHERE east of the Mississippi.
I come here every time I’m in town.
Thank you Commonwealth for a smooth smooth latte that never needs any sweetener.
So good. So so good.

Went for breakfast, it was our third time. It’s usually very busy so there was a wait. Loved the outdoor seating. The order, then sit down system worked well. Cashier was very accommodating and patient since I had forgotten to order something and had to order a second time. Food came fast. The vegetarian Mexican omelette (seasonal) was truly excellent. Everything is on the expensive side though.

The drinks that we ordered were excellent. A hot matcha with milk, iced tea, affogato and a pour over coffee. Our food was a little disappointing. We ordered the shiitake omelet that came with a bokchoy salad and a ricotta blueberry toast with sausage on the side. Also a walnut raison scone and pineapple coconut tart. The omelet was okay. The salad lacked dressing. The toast was a bit too sweet but tasted good. The sausage was very dry. The scone was excellent. The tart mainly tasted of cinnamon. The pineapple coconut flavor was lost because there was too much cinnamon on it.
The atmosphere was noisy, sounded like a cafeteria. Parking was difficult.
Probably won't be back.

3.8 | I tried their wellness elderberry shot [very fresh], their lobster omelette special and their cortado. overall, very pleased with the dish and the cortado. espresso was well dialed and the milk was nice and frothy, but still smooth. I enjoyed the omelette. it was a little fresh [ended up adding some salt], which feels a little odd to do to seafood, but they had a dressing for the greens, which seemed to have used some of the lobster flavor and wow, it was really yummy. I ended up pouring it on my greens and the omelette. the crème fresh was also a nice touch with the omelette. I just wanted a littttle more of that lobster in the omelette to shine through. it's not a cheap omelette, it's a $22-$24 omelette so I think that's why the bar is just a little higher. as a normal omelette though, texture, consistency was great. I'd go back!
